4. Procedure

A. Installation of the Oxygen-Mask Stowage-Box (10RN1, 10RN2, 10RN3, 5774HM) NOTE : Only use SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-003B) on the threads
____ of the nut or on the flared part of the tube. Apply only a thin layer of the compound on the first three threads that are male.
(1)
Install the stowage box of the oxygen mask in its housing.
(2)
Lock the latches (2).
(3)
Remove the sealed vinyl bag from the end of the line (5).
(4)
Remove the blanking plugs from the line (5) and the union (3).
(5)
Install a new seal (4) on the union of the line (5).
(6)
Install the line (5) on the union (3) and tighten it. NOTE : Counter-torque the union (3) when you tighten the line (5) so
____ that you do not damage the stowage box (1).
(7)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connector (6) and the fixed connector (7). It is not necessary to do this operation for the stowage box assembly of the 4th Occupant.
(8)
Connect the electrical connector (6) to the fixed connector (7). It is not necessary to do this operation for the stowage box assembly of the 4th Occupant.
(9)
If it is necessary, install the full-face/quick-donning oxygen-mask (Ref. TASK 35-12-41-400-002)

B. Leak test
(1)
Apply a layer of SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-004) to the mechanical connection.
(2)
Open the valve of the oxygen cylinder very slowly.

(3)
Let the pressure become stable for approximately 90 seconds.
(4)
Fully open the valve of the oxygen cylinder.
(5)
Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1HT
(6)
On the panel 21VU:
-push the OXYGEN/CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch. The OFF legend goes off.
(7)
Make sure that there are no leaks on the connection.
(8)
Remove the SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-004).
(9)
On the panel 21VU:
-release the OXYGEN/CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch. The OFF legend comes on.
(10)
De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits. (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002)
(11)
Install the lining panel.
