At the aft connection location, attach the existing cord to the new M273 ovht detection element.

Using two people, one at each end, slowly pull the cord fwd through the keel beam. Use the access holes in the bottom of the keel beam to help guide the ovht detection element through the holes in the structure.

 (3)  S 214-058Before attaching the element to the fwd and aft flange locations, make sure that the receptacles in the flanges are free of contaminants.
 (4)  S 424-122Attach the ovht detection element to the flange assemblies using the nut removed above. Torque the nut to 50-60 inch lbs.
 (5)  S 764-060Before the installation of the lockwire, make sure the electrical bond between the external surface of the element and structure is less than 0.010 ohms (SWPM 20-20-00). (a) If the resistance is greater than 0.010 ohms, disconnect the ovht detection element from the flange assemblies and clean the receptacle area. Repeat the previous steps.
 (6)  S 424-061Connect the electrical connectors to the fwd and aft connections of the ovht detection element.
 (7)  S 424-062Install lockwire per BAC5018 using the double twist method.
 (8)  S 424-063In the area just aft of the fwd connection, install a grommet around the ovht detection element.
 (9)  S 424-064Attach the grommet/element assembly to the bracket assembly by turning the screw head 1/4 turn clockwise.

 (10) Through the access hole at BDY STA 690.4, install two (2) grommets on the ovht detection element.
