Connect an AC voltmeter between terminal A of the left No. 5 window thermostat and ground.

Do a check of the left side window heat operation:
(a)
Set the WINDOW HEAT L SIDE switch to on. 1) BEJ B-2531, B-2532; Make sure that the voltmeter shows 65 |15 volts ac.
2) BEJ B-2535 AND ON; Make sure that the voltmeter shows 115 |15 V ac.
(b)
Let the window continue to heat.
(c)
Make sure that the voltmeter shows approximately 0 V ac when the thermal switch opens.
NOTE: The approximate time for the thermal switch to open is:
____ 15 minutes at 70° F ambient temperature, 25 minutes at 50° F ambient temperature, 40 minutes at 30° F ambient temperature.
(d) Measure the temperature of the window (this step is optional):
NOTE: Measure the temperature on the inside of the window
____ immediately adjacent to the thermal switch.
1) Make sure that the window temperature stays in this range: 90° |10° F to 110° |10° F (thermal switch P/N 10-1468) or 75° |10° F to 95° |10° F (thermal switch P/N 10-1468-5).
NOTE: Under cold ambient conditions, it is possible that
____ the window temperature will be as high as 125 |1° F before the thermal switch opens. Under hot ambient conditions, it is possible that the window temperature will be as low as 65° F before the thermal switch closes.
