You may want to set the title of the link: add a “linktext”.
Note: In FODM, the link appears like manual name/DU number (I.e. FCOM/00005881)
In LPC Browser, the DU number is replaced by the DU name (like link 2) and the manual name
is displayed only if the link target is outside the actual manual.

Insert An Internal Link- Practice
At the end of the “Insert Link Exercise” DU, add an
internal link.
Internal link uses the element “refint”. It points to an
element with an “lid” attribute.
Tip: Make sure to generate the lid attribute before
creating the internal link.

Insert External Objects
You can insert external objects to your manual. This can be different types of
external documents: Picture, PDF, sound, video.
When published, the manual includes the external document as a link. The
reviewer is able to open it through LPC Browser or an external program (Acrobat
reader…).

You have to use the multimedia library prior inserting an object to your DU.

Graphics can be of different formats:
JPG, GIF, PNG, CGM.

In DU Editor, the following elements should be added:
1. Graphref (attribute: @inline)

3. Illustration (A wizard is launched when you create the element)

Edit the DU “Example of PDF”
Choose a PDF from the “supplementary material > 2.01 Sample
Extrernal Object”.
Add it in the multimedia library.
Edit the DU, insert the launcher element.
Fill the title and alternate text.
Note: you have the possibility to insert also video and sound
with the same process.
