The “NOTE” button lets user to insert notes attached to a DU:
•
Type your notes
•
Click on the “SAVE” button to validate your changes (3).
or
•
Click on the “DELETE” button to erase the notes content (3)
•
Click on the “SAVE” button to validate your changes (3).
Notes can be exported and imported.
•
Click on the “IMPORT” button to import notes via a file chooser (3).
•
Click on the “EXPORT” button to save notes via a file chooser (3).
•
Click on the “IMPORT” button to import notes via a file chooser (3).

After saving a note, a link is added in the tree corresponding to the note (1).
A sub-folder “Notes” is also added at the end of the tree (2). It contains a sub-folder per manual with the links to all the notes and annotated DU (3).
There is only one note per DU.

4.1.13
“WHAT IF?” menu
The “WHAT IF” feature (1) provides a way to consult a linked element which is another part of the document, another document, or launch an index search.
Besides the list of “WHAT IF” titles are extracted from the content of the displayed DU.
When user selects a ”WHAT IF”, according the type of ”WHAT IF”, the corresponding action is launched: scroll in order to display another part of the DU, or display another DU, or launch an index search.

“SEARCH” button
Click on the [SEARCH] button to switch to access mode, on SEARCH tab (see Figure 13: The SEARCH panel).

Thumbnails
When you click on a thumbnail, the screen is split on in 2 areas. The first area displays the consulted document and the second one displays the graphic corresponding to the thumbnail.

If the graphic is bigger than the display area, its size adapts to the viewable area.
You can click on the button +, - to resize it manually.

MEL items can be selected by clicking on the appropriate check box in the DU (1).
When MEL items are selected, a MEL basket is displayed under the navigation tree (2). The MEL basket allows the user to send the MEL items to other applications. (I.e. performance applications will take into input the effects of a defect item).
