3.6.2
INDEX SEARCH field
An Index search is based on indexes built from Document Units.
Type the words you want to search in the input field. By default, LPC DOC BROWSER will search for all the typed words.
However, for an advanced search, you can use the AND OR operators (ie. "fuel AND warning OR light").
Then a click on the “Search” button start the index search consultation.
Same rules than word search apply.

3.6.3
ECAM SEARCH field
An ECAM search is based on the list of ECAM messages which is displayed in the combo box. The result is the DU linked to the ECAM message
Select the ECAM message in the list box or type the first letters to pre-filter items in the list.

A Functional code search is based on functional code of the DU. The result is all the DU linked to the functional code.
3.6.5
Search results field
Search results are displayed as a list of found DU, in the “RESULTS” pane. If the number of results is greater than the maximum displayable results, a warning is displayed.
To access to a result, select the DU you want to consult (one at a time), and click on the [CONSULT] button.

The [Search] button (1) allows the user to come back to the search access panel.
The [X] button (2) allows the user to remove the search result colorization. Several search modes can be displayed:

FUNC CODE SEARCH: Functional code search mode

INDEX SEARCH: Index Search mode

ECAM SEARCH: ECAM message search mode
o
WORD SEARCH: Word search mode
o
FAULT CODE SEARCH: Fault code search mode

The BOOKMARKS panel
3.7.1
Bookmarked documents panel
In consultation mode, you can bookmark the DU of a particular interest by clicking the “Add to list” button (1).
In access mode, you can consult the bookmarked DU in the “Bookmarks” panel.

Bookmark features
The BOOKMARS panel (Figure 22: The BOOKMARKS panel) contains 4 folders.

These folders cannot be moved, renamed or deleted.
•
The “Trace” bookmarks folder is used to store bookmarks when “Trace” mode is activated.
•
The “Interruption” bookmarks folder stores automatically the bookmarks when the user activates the “Update” function in the shell toolbar on a consulted DU.
•
The “Airline” bookmarks folder contains bookmarks set by the airline authors.
•
The “Userld” bookmarks folder stores the bookmarks set by the LPC DOC BROWSER user.
