updated every 60 seconds for ICAO Category II operations; for other cases, their output is updated
based on METAR and SPECI modes.
4.3.6.5* When instrumented systems are used for the assessment of runway visual range, the following are
included in METAR and SPECI:
- if the runway length is less than 2 000 m, the minimum of two values, at the start and end of
the runway;
- if the runway length is greater than 2 000 m, the minimum of two values, at the start and
