In order to avoid confusion with the numbers TWO and FOUR, the words "TO'' and "FOR" must not be
used when reportindassigning levels.
When transmitting altitudes, the word ALTITUDE may precede the altitude value, the word FEET shall
follow the altitude value.
Remark: As a result of a trial phase, the word ALTITUDE in connection with the word FEET is no longer
compulsory.
Flight identifications and aircraft types containing identical numbers may be transmitted as "DOUBLE
(number)" or "TRIPLE (number)" provided it docs not cause confusion.
Remark: This method of transmission is as safc as thc known versions and is cornonly used throughout
the world.
The exception to the rule given in 5.2.1.4.1.1 for the spclling of numbers is not prescribed in Germany.
