4.4.15.3.8 Corrections to textual errors made in on-line
operations shall be corrected by inserting ->E+E->E+
following the error, then retyping the lasl correct word (or
goup).
4.4.15.3.9 When it is not discovered until later in the
origination process that an error has been made in the text, the
correction shall. bc separated from thr last text group, or
confirmatioli, if any, by an alignment function [<=I. This shall
he followed by the abbreviation COR and the correction.
4.3.15.3.10 Stations shall make all indicated corrections
on the page-copy prior to local delivcry or a transfer to a
manually operated circuit.
4.4.15.3.11 The text of messages entered by the AFTK
origin station shall not excecd 1 800 charactcrs in length.
N;TN messages exceeding 1 800 characters shall be cntered
by the MTP: origin station in the form of separate messages.
Guidance material for forming separate messages from a
single long message is given in Attachment B to Volume 11.
When messages or data are lransinitted only on medium or
high speed circuits the text may he increased to a length that
exceeds 1 800 charactcrs as long as performance characteristics
of the network or link are not diminished and s~rbject
to agreement between the Adminisnations concerned.
4.4.15.3.12.1.3 Messages entered by the AFTN origin
statioll shall not exceed 2 100 characters in length.
