Modules To Suit Your Business
Aventa is modular - Redthorn customers choose only
the modules they need. The standard system
includes modules applicable to all manufacturing
companies including capacity planning, sales-order
processing, stock control, purchase-order
processing, labour processing and financial analysis.
We have optional modules to suit individual company
requirements such as Data Capture, Vendor
Managed Inventory, Scheduling, Direct Sales,
Document Control and fully integrated Aventa
Financials. All these available additional modules
help build a system that maps to your business
process.
Other available modules include RedALERT
Messenger - dynamic and intelligent internal e-mailing sent
directly from the system, giving invaluable management
information, like yesterday’s delivery failures, what’s due for
calibration, and absent personnel. It will reveal where
companies are over-resourced and provide a work-to list to help
make better-informed planning decisions.
The inspection, calibration and tooling modules monitor the
location of all tooling and inspection equipment on or off site.
These modules will manage and report when and what is due
for calibration and whether internal or external calibration is
required.

The Aventa system includes 250 standard reports. The majority
of these have been added to the system through a joint
development process with Redthorn users.
Customised Reports
A real strength of the Aventa system is the ability to create user
defined reports. These reports are tailored to individual users
needs and can be generated via the following methods.
 Oracle Discoverer
 Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access
 Crystal Reports
Aventa is built on Oracle technology and makes use of
Discoverer, Oracle’s Business Intelligence tool for integrated
reporting and analysis, against relational and multi-dimensional
(OLAP) data.
Oracle Discoverer is an intuitive ad-hoc query reporting tool
incorporating analysis and web-publishing facilities. Discoverer
will give immediate access to information from a number of
sources. Redthorn users can get real-time information with real
impact.
As Aventa and Discoverer are both built on Oracle technology
there is a seamless link between the two. This eliminates the
need for third-party reporting tools to access the benefits gained
from bespoke reporting.

Through realtime data capture the Aventa scheduling software is
automatically updated to enable closer control of the manufacturing
environment.
Using data capture and touch screen technology Aventa users are able
to process payroll, manage shift patterns and monitor employee
efficiency.
Shopfloor data capture also enables realtime cost analysis of machine
and labour utilisation.
Aventa data capture allows the user to record rejects at the point of error
and automatiically notifies the relevant personnel and creating the
neccessary documentation.
Data capture can be used for single or multiple time allocation against
individual jobs and can also allow single time bookings against multiple
jobs.
By using data capture the company can monitor, track and cost not only
productivity but lost time, machine breakdown, infact any non productive
time booking.
ASP Application Service Provider
Our Application Service Provider option allows companies to
utilise the entire suite of Aventa manufacturing software
applications over the Internet.
