 (4)  S 974-020Measure the door when it is closed to make sure it aligns with the fuselage. (a) The door trailing edge must align |0.060 inch (|1.52 mm) of the inlet lip.
 (5)  S 824-035If it is necessary, adjust the door: (a) Loosen the locknuts (20 and 21) on the bottom of the actuator (3). (b) Turn the adjustment nut (22) to align the door to |0.060 inch (|1.52 mm) of the inlet lip. (c) Tighten the locknuts (20 and 21) on the bottom of the actuator (3).
 (6)  S 714-021Do a check of the actuator (3) operation:
 (a)  Energize the actuator (3) and do a check of the operation in the two directions.
 (7)  S 914-022Install lockwires on the locknuts (20 and 21) on the actuator (3).
 (8)  S 824-028Adjust the position switch for the air inlet door (Ref 49-15-05/201).
 (9)  S 714-036Do a check of the installation and the operation of the air inlet door (Ref 49-15-03/601).

 Close the APU access doors:

 (a)  
Do a visual check of the EGT bus bars:
 1) Make sure the bus bars are not damaged.
 2) Make sure no metal parts touch the bus bars.
 3) Make sure the bus bars do not touch each other.

 (b)  
Disengage the support rods for the APU access doors.

 (c)  
Put the support rods in the clips on the inner side of the APU access doors.

 (d)  
Make sure the insulation covers correctly attach to the APU compartment firewall.

 (e)  
Close the APU access doors.

 (f)  
Close the latches on the APU access doors.

 Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 (a)  
P83 Panel, E8 Aft Equipment Center
 1) APU PRIMARY CONT

 (b)  
P6 Main Power Supply Panel

 (12) Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU control switch on the P5 panel.

 APU DOOR POSITION SWITCH - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure contains these three tasks:
 (1)  
Door Position Switch Removal

 (2)  
Door Position Switch Installation

 (3)  
Door Position Switch Adjustment.

 B.  
The door position switch is on the forward, lower side of the air inlet duct. The switch is above the inlet door actuator.

 C.  
You can get access to the door position switch through the APU access doors at the top of the APU compartment.
