The quality (high or low) of the ADS track symbol is based on the FOM (Figure Of Merit) and on the age
of the ADS report.
The -update- extrapolation is used to represent the position of the aircraft as reported each time a basic
ADS update or one shot ADS is received. The position is the position received from the aircraft,
adjusted for only the transmission time of the data from aircraR till display time.
The "normal  extrapolation symbolis displayed for ADS track positions generated by the system based
upon waypaint and intent data from the aircraft.

5.2.1.2  Track History Dots
The maximum number of past positions able to be displayed for a track is 9, each position denoted by a
dot. Track History Dots can be selected or deselected, and the controller can also choose the number
of track history dots by a pop-up menu, selectable from the Generallnformation Window.
The result of radar track cancel on the history dots is described in the EUROCAT SSS.
