FAR 31.A4 : Airworthiness Limitations section.
The Instructions for Continued Airworthiness must contain a section titled Airwor-thiness Limitations that is segregated and clearly distinguishable from the rest of the document. This section must set forth each mandatory replacement time, structural ins-pection interval, and related structural inspection procedure, including envelope struc-tural integrity, required for type certi.cation. If the Instructions for Continued Airwor-thiness consist of multiple documents, the section required by this paragraph must be includedintheprincipal manual.This sectionmustcontainalegible statementin apro-minent location that reads : ”The Airworthiness Limitations section is FAA approved and speci.es maintenance required underSecs.43.16 and[91.403] of theFederalAviation Regulations.” Amdt. 31-5, E.. 8/18/90

FAR 33.1 : Applicability.
(a)
This part prescribes airworthiness standards for the issue of type certi.cates and changes to those certi.cates, for aircraft engines.
(b)
[Each person who applies under Part 21 for sucha certi.cate or change must show compliance with the applicable requirements of this part and the applicable requi-rements of Part 34 of this chapter.]
