 A. Start and operate the APU
 CAUTION : OBEY THE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS.

 NOTE : If the APU must be started on BAT and the OAT is 0 deg. C or less,

 we recommend:

to select the APU GEN to provide A/C electrical power.

 -
to start L1 or L2 main fuel boost pump. This you must do immediately after the APU started and the AVAIL light is ON. In this way you avoid APU AUTO S/D because air in the APU fuel delivery line.

1. On the APU section on the panel  On the APU section on the panel 25VU: 25VU:
 -push the APU MASTER SW  - the ON legend in the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch. pushbutton switch comes ON.
 NOTE : Wait 5 seconds for APU power-up

 -push the APU START pushbutton  - the ON legend in the APU START

 NOTE : If necessary, the APU can supply bleed air for the

_______ THE APU FIRE EXTINGUISHER SYSTEM IS NOT SUFFICIENT TO EXTINGUISH A FIRE IF THE ACCESS DOORS 315AL AND 316AR ARE OPEN/REMOVED.

 A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
 (1)
 The APU operates to do maintenance tasks (Ref. TASK 49-00-00-860-005).

 (2)
 Prepare to energize the aircraft electrical circuits from the external power (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

 (3)
 If aircraft system(s) are supplied with bleed air from the APU, stop them.

 NOTE : If necessary, prepare the pre-conditioning through the HP
____ ground connection (Ref. TASK 12-33-21-618-001).
 (4) Make sure the lower ECAM DU is on (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001) and shows the APU page.
