C.  Test OMEGA Navigation System
(1)  Operational Notes
(a)  
The CLR pushbutton on the CDU is used to clear displayed data before entry or to clear erroneous data entries.

(b)  
In the event the operator either uses an improper procedure for data entry or inputs unreasonable data, the right data display will indicate 1 OE or 2 OE and the CLR button will illuminate. 1 OE indicates an error in data entry and 2 OE indicates an incomplete entry. A blinking display indicates that the entered data is unreasonable (i.e., latitude greater than 900). To correct the error, the CLR button is pressed and the data re-entered.

(c) 
 WRN annunciator 1) A steady WRN annunciation, except during self test, indicates that the system has failed and is no longer operative. 2) A flashing WRN annunciation indicates failure of a subassembly, loss of airplane inputs, or insufficient input data by the operator.

3)  The WRN annunciator shall flash during most of these tests due to test procedures. The flashing WRN annunciator should be ignored until otherwise stated.
(2)  Panel Lights and Self-Test Check
(a)  
Rotate panel dimming control on P8 control stand fully clockwise. Check that CDU panel lights and keyboard lights are illuminated.

(b)  
Rotate Display Selector Switch (DSS) to DTK STS and set OFF-A-M-R switch to M. Check that the following are illuminated for approximately 5 seconds: 1) Left, right and TO/FROM numerical displays shall show all eights except for the

first digit of the right display which shall show R.
2)  The degree sign, arc minute sign and decimal point shall be illuminated for both the left and right numerical display.
3)  The N display segments on the left display and the W display segments on the
right display shall be illuminated. 4) The TK CHG, ENT, HLD and CLR buttons shall be illuminated. 5) The ALR, DR, SYN, AMB, MAN and WRN annunciators shall be illuminated.
(c)  
At the end of 5 seconds, the test conditions shall clear and the right display shall show the number 00 followed by the number 90. The ENT button shall be illuminated.

(d)  
Turn DSS to AUX and turn WPT selector to 9. All conditions in step (b) shall re-appear and remain on.

(e)  
Turn DSS to DTK STS. The test conditions shall clear and the right display shall show the number 00 followed by the number 90.

(3)  
Check Discrete Inputs

(a)  
Turn the WPT selector to 2 and the DSS to AUX.

(b)  
Using the CDU keyboard insert the number 25040 then press ENT button. ENT button shall go out, left display shall read 25040 and right display shall read 7340 (last 4 digits).

(c)  
Perform the following steps and confirm the required result on the right display of the CDU. CDU Right Display

(Last 4 digits) 1) Open INSTR XFMR-1 circuit breaker 7343 2) Close INSTR XFMR-1 circuit breaker 7340 3) Open COMPASS-1 circuit breaker 7341 4) Close COMPASS-1 circuit breaker 7340 5) Open AIR DATA CMPTR AC circuit breaker 7344 6) Close AIR DATA CMPTR AC circuit breaker 7340 7) Open AIR DATA CMPTR - 26 VAC circuit breaker 7354 8) Close AIR DATA CMPTR - 26 VAC circuit breaker 7340 9) Open LANDING GEAR LIGHTS circuit breaker 7140 10) Close LANDING GEAR LIGHTS circuit breaker 7340

(d)  
Using the CDU keyboard, insert the number 25060 then press ENT button shall go out, left display shall read 25060 and right display shall read 155277.
