Procedure

 S 424-046-N00
 (1)  Install the terminal box (13).
 (a)  
Put the terminal box (13) on the studs on the bracket.

 (b)  
Lubricate the threads of the nuts (1) with engine oil.

 (c)  
Install the nuts (1) to the terminal box (13).

 (d)  
Tighten the nuts to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).

 (2)  Install the harness (2, 10, and 11) terminals on the terminal box (13).
 (a)  
Remove the nuts (3 and 4) from the terminal box (13) studs.

 (b)  
Attach the left harness (11) terminals to the terminal box (13) studs.

 (c)  
Attach the right harness (10) terminals to the terminal box (13) studs.

 (d)  
Attach the EEC harness (2) terminals to the terminal box (13) studs.

 (e)  
Install the nuts (3 and 4) on the terminal box (13) studs.

 CAUTION: DO NOT TIGHTEN THE NUTS ON THE THERMOCOUPLE STUDS TOO
_______ TIGHTLY. TOO MUCH TORQUE (MORE THAN MAXIMUM TORQUE) ON THE THERMOCOUPLE NUTS CAN LOOSEN OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE THERMOCOUPLE STUDS.
 (f)  Tighten the nuts (3 and 4).
 1)  Tighten the nuts (3) attached to the alumel studs (the larger nuts) to 18-22 pound-inches (2.0-2.5 newton-meters).

2)  Tighten the nuts (4) attached to the chromel studs (the smaller nuts) to 15-18 pound-inches (1.7-2.0 newton-meters).

 (3)  Install the cable clamps (9 and 12) on the harnesses (10 and 11).
 (a)  
Put the left EGT harness (11) and the right EGT harness (10) between the inner and outer clamp halves (12 and 9).

 (b)  
Lubricate the threads of the screws (8) with engine oil.

 (c)  
Attach the clamp halves (12 and 9) to the terminal box (13) with the screws (8).

 (d)  
Tighten the screws (8) to 16-22 pound-inches
 (1.8-2.5 newton-meters).

 (e)  
Install lockwire on the screws (8).

 (4)  Install the terminal box cover and harness ground.
 (a)  Install the cover (6) and harness ground on the terminal box (13).
 NOTE: If the ground lead on the W6 cable at the EGT
____ Thermocouple Terminal Box is damaged or missing, you must repair the cable per Unison SB 420081-73-46 or replace it.
 (b)  
Lubricate the threads of the screws (5 and 7) with engine oil.

 (c)  
Attach the cover (6) and harness ground to the terminal box (13) with the screws (5 and 7).

 (d)  
Tighten the screws (5 and 7) to 16-22 pound-inches
 (1.8-2.5 newton-meters).

 (e)  
Install lockwire on the screws (5 and 7).

Close the core cowl panels (AMM 71-11-06/201).

 (6)  
For the applicable engine, remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers on the main power distribution panel, P6:

 (a)  
6G15 SCU ALT PWR ENG 1

 (b)  
6G23 ENG SCU 1

 (c)  
6G16 SCU ALT PWR ENG 2
