CAUTION:_______DO NOT TIGHTEN THE THERMOCOUPLE NUTS TOO TIGHT. TOO MUCH TORQUE (MORE THAN MAXIMUM TORQUE) ON THE THERMOCOUPLE NUTS CAN LOOSEN OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE THERMOCOUPLE STUDS.
(8) Connect the EGT harness leads to the applicable EGT thermocouple studs:
(a)
Put the EGT harness leads in their position on the EGT thermocouple studs.
(b)
Install the nuts that attach the harness leads to the thermocouple studs.

Tighten the nuts attached to the alumel studs (the larger nuts) to 18-22 pound-inches (2.0-2.5 newton-meters).
(d)
Tighten the nuts attached to the chromel studs (the smaller nuts) to 15-18 pound-inches (1.7-2.0 newton-meters).

(9) Install the inner and outer clamp halves:
(a)
Put the inner and the outer clamp halves in their position on the EGT terminal box.
(b)
Lubricate the threads of the screws with oil.
(c)
Install the screws that attach the inner and the outer clamp halves to the terminal box.
(d)
Tighten the screws to 16-22 pound-inches
(1.8-2.5 newton-meters).

(10) Install the EGT terminal box cover and the harness ground lead:
(a) Put the EGT terminal box cover and the harness ground lead in their position on the EGT terminal box.
NOTE: If the ground lead on the W6 cable at the EGT
____ Thermocouple Terminal Box is damaged or missing, you must repair the cable per Unison SB 420081-73-46 or replace it.
(b)
Lubricate the threads of the screws with oil.
(c)
Install the screws that attach the terminal box cover and the harness ground lead to the EGT terminal box.
(d)
Tighten the screws to 16-22 pound-inches
(1.8-2.5 newton-meters).
(e)
Install lockwire from the screws for the inner and the outer clamp halves to the screws for the terminal box cover.
