1) Push the switch under the MORE prompt to show the external failure maintenance messages. 
NOTE: The LCD screen can show only one maintenance message at a time. 
2) Continue to push the MORE switch to cycle through all of the failures. 
NOTE: You return to the first maintenance message when the MORE switch is pushed after the last maintenance message. 
3) Refer to the Maintenance Message table to find the fault isolation tasks for the applicable maintenance messages. 
(f)  Do these steps if RADIO ALTIMETER FAIL/EXTERNAL FAILURES PRESENT is shown: 
1) The first maintenance message is RADIO ALTIMETER FAIL. 
2) Push the switch under the MORE prompt to show the external failurre maintenance messages. 
NOTE: The LCD screen can show only one maintenance message at a time. 
3) Continue to push the MORE switch to cycle through all of the failures. 
NOTE: You return to the first maintenance message when the MORE switch is pushed after the last maintenance message. 
4) Refer to the Maintenance Message table to find the fault isolation tasks for the applicable maintenance messages. 
(g)  Push the left switch under the RETURN prompt to return to the normal mode screen.

C.  Flight-Fault Memory History Procedure
(1)  Do this procedure, if required, to examine the Flight-Fault Memory history for hard or intermittent faults.
(a)  
Push and release either of the two switches on the front panel of the LRRA Receiver/ transmitter to start the BITE self-test.

(b)  
Do these steps when the BITE self-test is complete to show maintenance mode pages.

NOTE: There is no five minute timeout in the Maintenance Mode if a switch is not pushed.
1) Push the MAINT switch to enter the Maintenance Mode.
2) Use the MORE switch to scroll through the Maintenance Mode pages.

NOTE: After the last page is shown and no failures are stored for previous flight legs, a push of the MORE switch returns to the first Maintenance Mode page. 3) When the page FAILURES HAVE BEEN RECORDED FOR PREVIOUS FLIGHT LEGS is shown, this begins the Flight-Fault Memory Mode. 4) Push the YES switch to see the most recent flight leg (00).
NOTE: The unit stores data for 64 flight legs that contain faults or no faults. Four pages are required for each flight leg. The first page contains the date, flight number, aircraft number, and departure/destination stations. Three data pages follow for each flight leg to contain the possible failures. The data page shows FC (fault code), UTC (time), and R (fault repetition count).

NOTE: R greater than 0 indicates an intermittent fault. The number shows how many times the fault occurred. 5) Use the MORE switch to scroll through the flight leg data pages.
NOTE: After the last page is shown for the oldest flight leg, a push of the MORE switch returns to the first flight leg page. 6) Check the data pages for fault codes (FC). a) See the fault code table to determine fault location.
