14-1-11. RADAR
Use the following phraseology and procedures for
communicating radar products:
a. RAREPs.
1. Location. Announce the geographic name
(not the identifier) once for communications and
twice for broadcasts.
EXAMPLE-
“Lake Charles radar report.”
“Memphis, Memphis radar report.”
NOTESpecial
weather radar reports are not issued.
2. When broadcasting reports, announce the last
two digits of the observation time followed by the
word OBSERVATION.
EXAMPLE-
``Oklahoma City, Oklahoma City radar report, three five
observation.''
3. State the type of echo pattern or configuration
as follows: (See TBL 14-1-26.)

11. Do not announce the letters and numbers
comprising the digital radar codes at the end of the

eye. These reports begin with the identifying words
eye or center.
