B. Preparation of the Replacement Component
(Ref. Fig. 401A/TASK 21-51-41-991-001-A)
(1) If an ozone filter part number 20499001 or 20499002 is to be used as the replacement component you must:
-
remove the union (6) and the blanking plug (2) from the removed ozone filter and,
-
remove and discard the packings (4) and (5).
(a) On the replacement ozone filter (30): R - put the new R packing (4) in position on the blanking plug (2) and the new R packing (5) in position on the union (6).
(b) Installation of the Blanking Plug and Union WARNING : OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE

1 Apply a small amount of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-014A)
_ to the threads of the blanking plug (2) and the union (6).
2 Install the union (6) and the blanking plug (2).
_ 3 TORQUE the blanking plug (2) to between 0.5 and 1.0 m.daN
_
(44.24 and 88.49 lbf.in). 4 Safety the blanking plug with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-
_
009).
5 TORQUE the union (6) to between 0.95 and 1.05 m.daN (84.07 and
_
92.92 lbf.in). 6 Safety the union (6) with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-009).

(2) If an ozone filter part number 20499003 or 20499004 is to be used as the replacement component you must:
-remove the union (6) from the removed ozone filter (30) and remove and discard the packing (5) and,
-put the new packing (5) in position on the union (6).

C. Installation of the Ozone Filter
(1)
Remove the protective covers from the open ends of the flange (23), the pack flow-control valve (29) and the ozone filter (30).
(2)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4)
Make sure that the O-ring (17) is in a good condition. If necessary replace the O-ring (17).
(5)
Put the O-ring (17) in position on the ozone filter flange (16).
(6)
Carefully put the ozone filter in position on the mounting (12) and on the pack flow-control valve (29).
NOTE : You must make sure that you do not move the O-ring (17) when
____ you install the ozone filter (30).
(7) Install the bolts (24), the washers (25) and the nuts (26).

Put the tie-rod (1) in position and install the bolt (15), the washer
(14) and the nut (13).
(9)
Install the clamp (22).
(10)
TORQUE the clamp (22) to between 0.810 and 0.930 m.daN (71.68 and
82.30 lbf.in).
(11)
Move the sleeve (11) and the flange (23) in position on the ozone filter (30).
NOTE : Turn the sleeve (11) when you move it.
