2)  If there is clearance between the engine mounts and the strut, slowly add the force on the forward or aft hoists to remove the clearance.
 (c)  Loosen the forward and aft vertical tension bolts (1, 2,
 and 12) another one-half turn.

 NOTE:____The load cell indications must not change. Make sure there is a distance between the engine mounts and the strut.
 1)  If the load cell indications increase, make sure the indications are less than the maximum permitted value.
 2)  If there is clearance between the engine mounts and the strut, slowly add the force on the forward or aft hoists to remove the clearance.
 (d)  Remove the vertical tension bolts (1, 2, and 12) and washers (3 and 11). 1) The engine must be held by the hoists. 2) Make sure there is no gap between the engine mounts and the
 strut.

 (10) Lower the power plant and attach it to the transportation stand with the steps that follow:
 WARNING:_______KEEP THE WORK STANDS AND PERSONS AWAY FROM THE STRUT. THE POWER PLANT CAN MOVE WITH RELATION TO THE STRUT WHEN THE SHEAR PINS ARE AWAY FROM THE STRUT. IF THE PERSONS AND WORK STANDS ARE NOT AWAY FROM THE STRUT, INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (a)  
Slowly and equally lower the forward 6-ton hoists until the
 forward shear pins is away from the strut.

 (b)  
Slowly and equally lower the aft 3-ton hoists until the aft
 shear pins are away from the strut.

 (c)  
Lower the engine with the hoists, approximately 6 to 8 inches before the rotation level, to put together with the transportation stand. 1) The clearance at the forward and aft engine mount must

 increase at the same rate.

 (d)  
Align the cradle and the transportation stand.

 (e)  
Lower and attach the cradle to the transportation stand with
 the steps that follow (Fig. 410):
 1) Align the clamps (3).
 2) Tighten the bolts (2).
 3) Install the pins (4).

 (f)  
Disconnect the hoists (2 and 11) from the cradle and the
 bootstrap equipment (Fig. 409).

 (g)  
Pull the transportation stand, with the cradle and the power
 plant attached, forward until it is away from the strut.
