 C. Preparation for Installation
 (Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 38-14-43-991-001)

 (1)
 Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

 (2)
 Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

 (3)
 If removed attach the motorized fill/overflow-drain valve 8MA (13) to the bracket (12).

 (a)
 Put the insulation plates (18) in position.

 (b)
 Put the motorized fill/overflow-drain valve (13) on the bracket and install the washers (17) and the bolts (16).

 (c)
 Do not fully tighten the bolts (16) at this time.

 4. Procedure

 A. Installation of the Motorized Fill/Overflow-Drain Valve 8MA
 (1)
 Installation of the motorized fill/overflow-drain valve 8MA (18).

 (a) Remove the blanking plugs and the blanking caps.

 (2)
 Put the motorized fill/overflow-drain valve 8MA (18) in position.

 (a) Install the bolts (16), the washers (17), the washers (4) and the nuts (5).

 (3)
 Installation of the bonding strap.

 (a)
 Put the bonding strap (12) in position.

 (b)
 Install the screw (13) and the nut (11).

 (c)
 Protect the bonded connection (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).

 

 (4)
 Installation of the control cable.

 (a)
 Put the control cable (8) in position.

 (b)
 Install the pin (9) the washers (10) and the washer (7).

 (c)
 Install a new cotter pin (6).

 

 (5)
 Installation of the distribution lines.

 (a)
 Put the overflow lines in position and connect the connections

 (1) and (15).

 (b)
 Put the fill/drain lines in position and connect the connections

 (2) and (14).

 (6)
 Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.

 (7)
 Connect the electrical connector 8MA-A (3) to the fill/overflow-drain valve 8MA (18).

 (1)
 Fill the potable water system with water (Ref. TASK 12-15-38-613-001).

 (2)
 Pressurize the potable water system (Ref. TASK 38-10-00-614-001).
