Make sure that the fill/overflow and drain handle is in the normal position.
(2)
Hold the lever of the fill/overflow and drain valve 8MA in the closed position.
(3)
Adjust the sliding end (11) until you can install the pin (7). NOTE : The sliding end (11) is left hand threaded.

Make sure that you can feel or see the cable (3) through the inspection hole in the sliding end (11).
(5)
Install the pin (7) the washer (8) and the new cotter pin (9).
(6)
Tighten the nut (10).
