1 Use an (intrinsically safe) multimeter to do a test, to make
_ sure that each of the 115VAC three phases are not available at the connector 38QA-A.
 NOTE : This is to make sure that the contactor 36QA does not
____ stay in the on position (stuck/held on).
 (j) If the 115VAC three phase supply voltage measured in step (h) is correct, replace the PUMP-FUEL NO 2, CTR TK (38QA) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-21-51-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-21-51-400-002).

 (k) If the 115VAC three phase supply voltage measured in step (h) is not correct, (no voltage, incorrect voltage or a phase is missing) do all the sub-steps that follow:

 1 Make sure that good lighting is available.
_ Do a visual inspection and look for distortion (pinched or streched) damage (chafed or cut), discoloration, overheating (burnt/melted or arcing) liquid contamination, loose electrical connection or incorrect assembly, of the items that follow:
 - the fuel pump receptacle

 - the fuel pump supply cable end connector 38QA-A

 - the fuel pump supply cable

 - the forward and rear sides of the structure of bulkhead FR42 adjacent to the route of the supply cable.

 2 Repair, replace or make serviceable items found unserviceable
_
 in step (k)1_.

 a If a wire is damaged, the complete section (length) of
_ (each) wire (between the fuel pump connector 38QA-A and the connector 7577VC-A that goes through pressure seal 7508VP) must be replaced (Ref. AWM 28-21-06).

 3 If the aircraft structure is damaged, refer to Allowable
_
 Damage, P. Block 101, (Ref. ASRM 53-00-00) for the related
 type of damage in the Table of Contents.

 4 In the cockpit (right rear) do a visual inspection as
_ specified in step (k)1_ of the items that follow, replace if necessary:
 a The C/B-FUEL/CTR TK/PUMP2 SPLY (30QA) at the C/B panel
_
 121VU (Ref. AWM 93-01-21).

 b The connector 2204VC-A and related receptacle at the panel
_
 120VU (Ref. AWM 93-01-20).

 5 Release the front face of the C/B panel 121VU and lower to the
_
 open (horizontal) position.

 6 Use a multimeter and make sure that each of the 115VAC three
_
 phases are available at the C/B-30QA input and output
 terminals (Ref. ASM 28-21/03).

 7 If the 115VAC supply to the C/B-30QA, is not available at
_ terminals A1, B1 and C1 trouble shoot the AC supply (Ref. TSM 24 PB 101).
 8 If, with the C/B-30QA closed, the 115VAC supply is not
_ available at terminals A2, B2 and C2, replace the C/B-FUEL/CTR TK/PUMP2 SPLY (30QA).
 9 Raise the front face of the C/B panel 121VU to the closed
_
 (vertical) position and secure.

 10 In the forward avionics bay, remove the front cover of the
__ contactor box 107VU (Ref. AWM 93-01-07).
 11 Do a visual inspection as specified in step (k)1_ and replace,
__ if necessary:
 a The CNTOR-CTR TK PUMP 2 SPLY (36QA).
_ b The connectors 1262VC-A and 1266VC-A and the related
_
 receptacles.

 12 Remove the contactor 36QA.
__
 13 Use a multimeter and make sure that each of the 115VAC three

__ phases are available at the contactor base input sockets (8, 6 and 2) (Ref. ASM 28-21/03).

 14__ If the 115VAC supply to the contactor 36QA is not available, do a test of the aircraft wiring (three phase supply) between the C/B-FUEL/CTR TK/PUMP2 SPLY (30QA) and the CNTOR-CTR TK PUMP 2 SPLY (36QA) (Ref. ASM 28-21/03). Do the test as follows:
 a_ Continuity test, with a multimeter, of each three phase wire (from end to end) (Ref. ESPM 20-52-21).
 b_ Insulation test, with a 500VDC insulation tester, between each phase wire (pole) and ground (Ref. ESPM 20-52-24).
 c_ Insulation test, with a 500VDC insulation tester, between each phase wire and the other two wires (pole to pole) (Ref. ESPM 20-52-24).
 d_ Repair, replace the unserviceable wiring and connectors.
 CAUTION : DO NOT USE IN-LINE SPLICES TO REPAIR SECTIONS OF_______ ELECTRICAL CABLE THAT ARE BEHIND A FAIRING OR IN A CONDUIT. THIS WILL MAKE SURE THAT IT IS POSSIBLE TO SEE THE REPAIR FOR AN INSPECTION (REF. ESPM 20-53-29).
