 - receptacle 7509VC-A, pins H, W, G, M, Z, N and <A

 - adjacent and related connecting wires.

 2 Electrical Tests
_ Do a continuity test (Ref. ESPM 20-52-21) and a test for a short circuit (Ref. ESPM 20-52-22) of the wires that follow (Ref. AWM 28-42-14) and (Ref. AWM 28-42-15):
 - FQIC rack connector 3QT-A, pin 7H to connector 7509VC-A, pin H (permittivity signal)

 - FQIC rack connector 3QT-A, pin 5H to connector 7509VC-A, pin W (common drive return)

 - FQIC rack connector 3QT-A, pin 15G to connector 7509VC-A, pin G (common drive)

 - FQIC rack connector 3QT-A, pin 6F to connector 7509VC-A, pin M (density signal)

 - FQIC rack connector 3QT-A, pin 7F to connector 7509VC-A, pin Z (density signal return)

 - FQIC rack connector 3QT-A, pin 9F to connector 7509VC-A, pin N (density supply/drive)

 - FQIC rack connector 3QT-A, pin 10F to connector 7509VC-A, pin <A (density supply/drive return).

 (d) Repair all the unserviceable wiring and connectors (Ref. ESPM 20-00-00).

 (e) Connect the connector 7509VC-A to the tank wall receptacle 7509VC.

 (f) Install the initial FQIC 3QT (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-34-400-001).

 (g) Do the test given in Para. 3.B.

 (4) If the fault continues, drain and open the tank to the air (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).

 (5) Do a check of the HARNESS-CHAN A, CTR TK (17QT) (Ref. AWM 28-42-14) and (Ref. AWM 28-42-15) and replace, if necessary, (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-44-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-44-400-001).

 (6) If the harness 17QT is serviceable, replace the CADENSICON-CTR TK (20QT) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-16-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-16-400-002).

 NOTE : Make sure that the cadensicon transit pin is removed.

 NOTE : If the center tank cadensicon sensor is replaced, 2000kg

____ (4400lb) of fuel must be put in the center tank before you can fully test the cadensicon.

 A. Procedure
 (1) Temporarily replace the FQIC 3QT with a serviceable item (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-34-400-001).
 NOTE : The step (1) has been included because it is important to make
____ sure that the FQIC 3QT is serviceable before you start more steps.
 (2) If the message C CADENSICON 20QT is not shown:

 - complete the installation of the FQIC (3QT) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-34-400-001).

 (3) If the message C CADENSICON 20QT is shown:

 - install the initial FQIC 3QT (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-34-400-001).

 (4) Get access to the tank wall connector 7509VC and fused adaptor in the right MLG bay (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).

 (5) Remove the fused adaptor at the tank wall connector 7509VC.
 NOTE : The fused connector is installed between the tank wall
____ connector 7509VC and the free connector 7509VC-A. All of the capacitive drive return wires go through a fuse.
 (6) Use a multimeter to do a check for continuity, of the related in line fuse (Ref. ASM 28-42/09) between the pins W and W.

 (7) If the continuity test shows:

 (a) The fuse has continuity (serviceable), install the serviceable fused adaptor and continue with step (8).

 (b) The fuse is open circuit (first time unserviceable):

 1 Replace the fused adaptor at 7509VC with a serviceable item.
_

 2 Do the test given in Para. 3.B.
_

 (c) The fuse is open circuit (second time unserviceable):
 1 Continue with step (8), only replace the fused adaptor at
_ 7509VC when the cause of the short circuit has been identified and corrected.
 (8) Remove the FQIC 3QT (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-34-000-001).

 (9) Get access to the tank wall connector 7509VC in the right MLG bay (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).

 (10) Do a visual inspection and electrical tests of the aircraft wiring (Ref. AWM 28-42-14) and (Ref. AWM 28-42-15) between the FQIC rack connector 3QT-A and the tank wall connector 7509VC-A as follows:
