3.6 LEVEL 4 SELF-TEST - FAULT HISTORY
Level 4 Self-Test provides enunciation of the faults recorded over the last 10 flight legs. Level 4 Self-Test is initiated by pressing the cockpit Self-Test button within 3 seconds of the end of Level 3 Self-Test.
If any faults were recorded in the last ten flight legs then voice sequence as described in the following table will be
enunciated. Otherwise, the message “NO FAULTS” will be enunciated.
During Level 4 Self-Test, a Short Cancel bumps the enunciation to the next flight leg with faults (if any).
During Level 4 Self-Test, a Long Cancel terminates the Self-Test level and “PRESS TO CONTINUE” is enunciated
for proceeding to Level 5 Self-Test.
TABLE 3-7: LEVEL 4 SELF-TEST INFORMATION
THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS GIVEN IN THE LEVEL 4 SELF-TEST:
1. Enunciate the number of the most recent flight leg with faults as “FLIGHT X”, where “X” is a number from 1 to 10 where 1 is the most recent flight leg
2. Enunciate any internal faults stored for leg X
3. Enunciate any external faults stored for leg X
4. Increment to next oldest leg with faults (if any) and repeat the above sequence
5. Test proceeds to the next flight leg that contains a fault.
For Example:
If a fault occurred within the previous 10 flight legs the aural messages enunciated will be the same as given in Level 2 with the added information of which flight leg the fault occurred. For example, if radio altimeter bus 1 failed 4 flights earlier the messages would be:
“FLIGHT 4”
“EGPWC OK”
“EXTERNAL FAULTS”
