For good cause shown, requests for extensions of time to .le any document under this section may be granted by –

(1)
Theo.cial whoissued theorder,if therequestis .ledpriortothedesignation of a Hearing O.cer; or

(2)
The Hearing O.cer, if the request is .led prior to the .ling of a notice of appeal; or

(3)
The Administrator, if the request is .led after the .ling of a notice of appeal.

(l)
Except in the case of an appeal from the decision of a Hearing O.cer, the authority of the Administrator under this section is also exercised by the Chief Counsel, De-puty Chief Counsel, each Assistant Chief Counsel, each Regional Counsel, and the AeronauticalCenterCounsel(asto matters underTitleV of theFederalAviation Act of 1958).

(m)
Filing and service of documents under this section shall be accomplished in ac-cordance with r13.43; and the periods of time speci.ed in this section shall be computed in accordance with r13.44.

FAR 13.21 : Military personnel.
If a report made under this part indicates that, while performing o.cial duties, a member of the Armed Forces, or a civilian employee of the Department of Defense who is subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice (10 U.S.C. Ch. 47), has violated the Federal Aviation Act of 1958, or a regulation or order issued under it, the Chief Counsel, the Assistant Chief Counsel, Enforcement, the Assistant Chief Counsel, Regu-lations, the Assistant Chief Counsel, Europe, Africa, and Middle East Area O.ce, each Regional Counsel, and the Aeronautical Center Counsel send a copy of the report to the appropriate military authority for such disciplinary action as that authority considers appropriate and a report to the Administrator thereon.
FAR 13.23 : Criminal penalties.
(a) Sections902and1203 oftheFederalAviationAct of1958(49U.S.C.1472 and1523), provide criminalpenaltiesfor anyperson whoknowinglyand willfully violates speci-.edprovisions of thatAct, or any regulation or orderissued under thoseprovisions. Section 110(b) of the HazardousMaterialsTransportationAct(49 U.S.C. 1809(b)) providesforacriminalpenaltyof a .neof not morethan $25,000,imprisonmentfor notmorethan .veyears,orboth,foranypersonwhowillfully violatesaprovision of that Act or a regulation or order issued under it.

Subpart C : Legal Enforcement Actions
(b)
If an inspector or other employee of the FAA becomes aware of a possible violation of any criminalprovision of theFederalAviationAct of1958(except a violation of section902(i) through(m) whichis reporteddirectly totheFederalBureau of Investigation), or of the Hazardous Materials Transportation Act, relating to the transportation or shipmentby air ofhazardous materials,he or she shall reportit to the O.ce of the Chief Counsel or the Regional Counsel or Assistant Chief Counsel for the region or area concerned. If appropriate, that o.ce refers the report to the DepartmentofJusticeforcriminalprosecutionof theo.ender.If such aninspector or other employee becomes aware of a possible violation of a Federal statute that iswithintheinvestigatoryjurisdiction ofanotherFederal agency,he orshe shall immediately report it to that agency according to standard FAA practices.

FAR 13.25 : Injunctions.

(a)
Wheneveritisdetermined that apersonhas engaged, oris aboutto engage,in any act orpractice constituting a violation of theFederalAviationAct of1958, or any regulation or orderissued underitfor whichtheFAA exercises enforcement respon-sibility, or, with respect to the transportation or shipment by air of any hazardous materials,in any act orpractice constituting a violation of theHazardousMaterials Transportation Act, or any regulation or order issued under it for which the FAA exercises enforcement responsibility, the Chief Counsel, the Assistant Chief Coun-sel, Enforcement, the Assistant Chief Counsel, Regulations, the Assistant Chief Counsel, Europe, Africa, and Middle EastArea O.ce, each Regional Counsel, and the AeronauticalCenter Counsel may request the United States Attorney General, orthedelegateof theAttorneyGeneral,tobring anactioninthe appropriateUni-ted States District Court for such relief as is necessary or appropriate, including mandatory orprohibitiveinjunctive relief,interim equitable relief, andpunitiveda-mages, asprovidedby section1007 of theFederalAviationAct of1958(49U.S.C. 1487)and section111(a) of theHazardousMaterialsTransportationAct(49U.S.C. 1810).
