 A. Installation of the Trim-Air Check Valve
 WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS A GOOD FLOW OF AIR THROUGH THE WORK
_______ AREA WHEN YOU USE SPECIAL MATERIALS. IF YOU GET ONE OF THESE MATERIALS ON YOUR SKIN, IN YOUR MOUTH OR IN YOUR EYES : -FLUSH IT AWAY WITH A FLOW OF CLEAN WATER FOR BETWEEN 10 AND 15 MINUTES. -GET IMMEDIATE MEDICAL AID IF IRRITATION OCCURS. DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM THE MATERIAL. DO NOT SMOKE WHEN YOU USE THE MATERIAL. DO NOT USE THE MATERIAL NEAR A FLAME, SPARKS OR SOURCES OF HEAT. THESE MATERIALS ARE DANGEROUS : THEY ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANTS.
 WARNING : OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE THIS/THESE
_______ MATERIAL/S. USE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, RUBBER GLOVES, GOGGLES AND A MASK.
 NOTE : The material 04-007 is a molybdenum disulfide powder.
____ Before you can apply it you must first make it into a paste. To do this you must mix the powder with pure water or white spirit.
 NOTE : The material 06-007 is applied dry.

 Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

 (2)
 Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

 (3) Do a visual inspection of the trim-air check valve flappers to make sure that they are in a good condition and that they move easily.
 (a) FOR 18HM
 1 Remove the protective covers from the open ends of the ducts
_ (1) and (14), the duct spigot (26) and the sleeve (25).
 2 Make sure that the seals (27) are in a good condition. If
_ necessary replace the seals (27).
 3 Apply a small amount of:
_
 -COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-007)
 or

 -LUBRICANTS (Material No. 06-007)
 to the seals (27) before you install them.

 4 Make sure that the packings (4) and (12) are in a good
_ condition. If necessary replace the packing (4) and/or the packing (12).
 5 Loosen the bolts (15).
_
 6 Put the packing (4) and the trim-air check valve (9) in
_ position on the duct (14).
 NOTE : Make sure that the flaps open in the direction of the
____ airflow, and that the pin (11) is in the location hole in the duct flange.
 7 Put the packing (12) in position on the flange of the duct
_ (1).
 8 Apply a small quantity of:
_
 -COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-007)
 or

 -LUBRICANTS (Material No. 06-007) to the seal (27) in the sleeve (25) before you install the duct spigot (26).
 9 Carefully put the duct spigot (26) in position in the sleeve
_ (25).
 NOTE : Turn the sleeve (25) when you put the duct spigot (26)
____ in position. This will help to prevent damage to the seals in the sleeve.

 10 Carefully put the duct (1) in position on the duct (14).
__ NOTE : Make sure that you do not move the packings (4) and
____ (12) and the trim-air check valve (9) when you position the duct (1).
 11 Install the bolts (10), the washers (8) and the nuts (7).

 12 Put the support rods (28) and (30) in position in the clevis

 (33) and install the bolts (29), the washers (31) and the nuts (32).
 13 Put the bonding strap (3), in position and install the bolt
__ (13), the washer (5) and the nut (6) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).
 14 Put the bonding strap (22), in position and install the bolt
__ (23), the washer (21) and the nut (20) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).
 (b) FOR 19HM 1 Remove the protective covers from the open ends of the ducts
_
 (2) and (14), the duct spigot (26) and the sleeve (25). 2 Make sure that the seals (27) are in a good condition. If
_
 necessary replace the seals (27).

 3 Apply a small amount of:
_
 -COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-007)
 or

 -LUBRICANTS (Material No. 06-007)
 to the seals (27) before you install them.

 4 Make sure that the packings (4) and (12) are in a good
_ condition. If necessary replace the packing (4) and/or the packing (12).
 5 Loosen the bolts (15).
_ 6 Put the packing (4) and the trim-air check valve (9) in
_
 position on the duct (14).

 NOTE : Make sure that the flaps open in the direction of the
____ airflow, and that the pin (11) is in the location hole in the duct flange.

 7 Put the packing (12) in position on the flange of the duct
