 e)  The cabin temperature selectors to the MANUAL-OFF
 position. f) The APU BLEED switch to the OFF position. g) Make sure the indicator for the bleed air pressure
 shows not more than 10 psi.With the engine at idle, do the steps that follow: a) Put the BLEED switch to the ON position. b) Permit the pressure to become stable. c) Make sure the indicator for the bleed air pressure
 shows 10-25 psi.Do the steps that follow while you monitor the pressure indicator:
 NOTE: When the bleed system changes from the 9th stage
____ to the 5th stage, the duct pressure will decrease approximately 6 psig. When you continue to increase the engine power, the duct pressure will increase and become stable between 36-52 psig.
 a)  Slowly increase the engine power.
 b)  Make sure the pressure goes to 25-33 Psig (25-35 psig. for airplanes with the improved high stage regulator). and becomes stable.
 c) Continue to increase the engine power to 80% N1. d) The pressure will become stable between 36-52 psig.Slowly decrease the engine power.
 NOTE: When the bleed system goes from the 5th stage to
____ the 9th stage, the duct pressure will go to approximately 20 psig. This occurs before the 9th stage valve can open and regulate the duct pressure between 25-33 psig (25-35 psig for airplanes with the improved high stage regulator).
 a)  Make sure the pressure indicator goes in the opposite direction to the step above.

 8) Put the BLEED switch to the OFF position.
 9) Make sure the pressure indicator for the bleed air shows

 not more than 10 psi. 10) Stop the engine (Ref 71-00-00/201). 11) Do the test again for the other engine.
