Procedure

 S 012-044
 (1)  
Open the thrust reverser half on the right side of the engine (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 (2)  
Remove the EDP (AMM 29-11-05/401).

 (3)  
Disconnect the drain line for the pump pad.

 (4)  
Install the pump pad plug.

Install the plugs, with packings, on the inlet hose, the outlet hose, and the case drain hose.

Remove the quillshaft from the EDP.

Fully drain the EDP.

Install the plug and seal assembly:

 (a)  
If the plug and seal assembly is not assembled, assemble the plug and seal assembly: 1) Lubricate the packings with engine oil. 2) Install the small packing in the groove adjacent to the

 head of the gearshaft bolt. 3) Install the large packing in the groove adjacent to the flange at the end of the gearbox plug. 4) Install the gearbox bolt into the gearbox plug at a sufficient depth to start the nut on the bolt.

 (b)  
Install the plug and seal assembly on the end of the gearshaft.

 NOTE: The bolt head must engage the groove behind the
____ drive shaft splines before the plug engages the gear shaft splines.
 (c)  
After the head of the bolt engages the gear shaft groove, push the plug fully into the gear shaft. 1) Make sure the plug splines engage with the gear shaft

 splines.

 (d)  
Remove the nut and install the washer.

 (e)  
Install the nut on the bolt. 1) Tighten the nut to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 N.m).

 (9)  
Install the deactivated EDP on the pump pad (AMM 29-11-05/401).

 (a)  
Use a 69B91091-2 gasket that is optional to the initial 69B91091-1 gasket.

 NOTE:____Engine oil can possibly get into the EDP. You must examine the EDP before you operate it.

 Install caps on the inlet, outlet, and case drain ports of the EDP.

 Run the engine at idle (AMM 71-00-00/501) and examine the installation for oil leakage.
