 (1)  
If a new EDP is to be installed, install the fittings on the EDP (1):

 (a)  
Lubricate the fittings and the new packings with hydraulic fluid.

 (b)  
Remove the covers from the hoses and the pump pressure ports.

 (c)  Install the packing (8), the backup ring (7), and the
 packing (6) on the pulsation dampener or adapter (5).

 NOTE: The pulsation dampner uses two backup rings (7).

 (d)  
Install the pulsation dampener or adapter (5) in the pump pressure port. 1) Tighten the pulsation dampener or adapter (5) to 713-788

 pound-inches (81-90 N.m).

 (e)  
Install the packing (10) on the union (9).

 (f)  
Install the union (9) in the pump supply port. 1) Tighten the union (9) to 855-945 pound-inches (97-107 N.m).

 (g)  
Install the packing (14), the backup ring (13), and the packing (12) on the adapter (11).

 (h)  
Install the adapter (11) in the case drain port.

 1)  Tighten the adapter (11) to 266-294 pound-inches (30-33 N.m).

 (2)  
Install the EDP (1):

 (a)  
Install the gasket (4) on the pump mounting pad.

 (b)  
Install the packing (3), lubricated with engine oil, in the groove on the EDP drive shaft.

 (c)  
Install the EDP (1) on the pump mounting pad.

 (d)  
Install the nuts (2). 1) Tighten the nuts to 260-320 pound-inches (30-35 N.m).

 S 434-050
 (3)  
Connect the EDP (1):

 (a)  
Install the case drain elbow on the EDP.

 (b)  
Connect the hydraulic pressure hose, the case drain hose, and the hydraulic supply hoses to the EDP (1).

 NOTE: It is necessary to hold the pump adapters with a
____ wrench to make sure they cannot turn when you tighten the hoses.
 1) Tighten the hydraulic pressure hose to the pulsation dampener to between 428-472 pound-inches (47-52 N.m). 2) Tighten the case drain hose to 475-525 pound-inches (55-60 N.m). 3) Tighten the hydraulic supply hose to 1520-1680 pound-inches (170-190 N.m).
 (c)  Connect the electrical connector DV349 to the EDP (1).

Close the applicable EDP DEPRESS circuit breaker:

 (a)  
P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel 1) 7J2 EDP DEPRESS 1 2) 7H2 EDP DEPRESS 2 3) 7G2 EDP DEPRESS 3 4) 7F2 EDP DEPRESS 4

 (7)  
Loosen the case drain hose connection at the pump and allow it to bleed until all air is removed from the case. Tighten case drain hose connection to 475 - 525 pound inches (55 - 60 N.m.).

 (8)  
Do a check of the EDP operation:

 (a)  
Put the applicable HYD PUMPS ENGINE switch on the P7 panel in the OFF position.
