Do the above steps for the check valve, for the demand pump, in the case drain module (AMM 29-11-18/201).

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU USE BMS 3-11 HYDRAULIC FLUID TO FLUSH THE
_______ HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. HYDRAULIC FLUID WHICH DOES NOT AGREE WITH THE BMS 3-11 SPECIFICATION CAN CAUSE CONTAMINATION OF THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM.
 (6)  
Flush the pressure line for the demand pump:

 (a)  
Connect the pressure line of the hydraulic service cart to the pressure hose for the demand pump.

 (b)  
Disconnect the tube at the OUT port on the pressure module (AMM 29-11-23/201).

 (c)  
Connect a drain hose to the OUT port of the pressure module.

 (d)  
Put the end of the drain hose into the container to catch the hydraulic fluid.

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THE END OF THE DRAIN HOSE CANNOT MOVE WHILE YOU
_______ FLUSH THE LINE. THE HYDRAULIC FLUID FLOW CAN CAUSE APPROXIMATELY 50 POUNDS OF THRUST. THIS CAN CAUSE CONTAMINATION, DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT, AND INJURY TO PERSONS.
 (e)  Flush the pressure line for 10 seconds with a flow of 30-40 gpm at 500-700 psig.

 (f)  
Turn off the hydraulic service cart.

 (g)  
Disconnect the hydraulic service cart from the pressure hose on the demand pump.

 (h)  
Remove the drain hose from the OUT port on the pressure module.

 (i)  
Connect the tube to the OUT port on the pressure module.

 (7)  
Examine the differential pressure indicator that monitors the pressure filter for the demand pump.

 (a)  
If the indicator is extended, replace the pressure filter element (AMM 29-11-23/201).

 (8)  
Flush the case drain line:

 (a)  
Disconnect the tube from the OUT port on the case drain module.

 (b)  
Connect the drain hose to the OUT port on the case drain module.

 (c)  
Put the end of the hose in the container to catch the hydraulic fluid.

 NOTE: The filter bowls for the case drain must be

 installed to permit the fluid flow.

 (d)  
Connect the pressure line of the hydraulic service cart to the case drain hose for the demand pump.

 (e)  
Flush the case drain line for 10 seconds with a flow of 10 gpm at 500 psig.

 (f)  
Disconnect the hydraulic service cart from the case drain hose for the demand pump.

 (g)  
Connect the tube to the OUT port on the case drain module.

 (9)  
Assemble the check valves:

 (a)  
Do the steps which follow for the check valves, for the pressure and case drain, at the demand pump (AMM 29-11-06/401): 1) Remove the check valve. 2) Remove all contamination from the check valve. 3) Install the poppet valve in the check valve. 4) Do a check of the condition of the check valve. 5) Replace the check valve, if it does not operate. 6) Assemble the check valve with a new O-ring. 7) Install the check valve.

 (b)  
Do the steps which follow for the check valve, for the demand pump, in the pressure module (AMM 29-11-23/201): 1) Remove the check valve. 2) Remove all contamination from the check valve. 3) Do a check of the condition of the check valve. 4) Replace the check valve, if it does not operate.

Do the above steps for the check valve, for the EDP, in the case drain module (AMM 29-11-18/201).

 (d)  
Connect the pressure hose and the case drain hose to the demand pump.
