Remove the plug from each wire bundle.

Remove the protective covers:

 (a)  
Remove the three nuts and washers that attach the protective cover to the clamps.

 (b)  
Loosen the nut on the clamp for the forward, top part of the protective cover.

 (c)  
Remove the nut, bolt, washer, and spacer from the angle at the top of the protective cover.

 (d)  
Remove the nut from the 45 degree elbow on the inner part of the protective cover.

 (e)  
Remove the protective cover from the clamps.

 (6)  Remove the clamps:
 (a)  
Remove the nuts from the clamps that go around the wheel truck.

 (b)  
Remove the clamps.

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THE GROUND LOCKS ARE INSTALLED ON ALL THE LANDING
_______ GEAR. WITHOUT THE GROUND LOCKS, THE LANDING GEAR CAN RETRACT AND CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (1)  
Make sure the ground locks are installed on the nose and main landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

 (2)  
Install the protective cover clamps:

 (a)  
Use BMS3-2 type solvent to clean the painted surfaces where the clamps will touch.

 (b)  
Put the clamps with the clips and blocks into their positions around the wheel truck.

 (c)  Put one strip of MYSTIC No. 7355 mylar tape between each clamp and the wheel truck.
 NOTE: Make an overlap of approximately one inch with the ends

 of the tape.

 (d)  Tighten the nuts on the two clamps finger tight.

 (3)  Install the protective covers:
 (a)  
Put the protective cover on the 90 degree elbow.

 (b)  
Install the nut on the 90 degree elbow on the inner part of the protective cover.

 (c)  
Attach the protective cover to the clips and blocks on the clamps with the four nuts and washers. 1) Make sure that the location of the protective cover

 relative to the wheel truck lugs is correct (Fig. 403). a) Loosen the nuts on the clamps and the nuts on the 90
 degree elbow to move the protective cover (Fig. 401). 2) Tighten the nuts on each clamp to 12 lb-in (1.4 N-M.). 3) Tighten the nuts on the 90 degree elbow with your fingers,
 plus 1/8 turn.
 (d)  
Make sure that the length of each wire bundle is correct as measured from the 90 degree elbow to the end of the wire (do not include pins).

 (e)  
Install the plug on each wire bundle.

 (f)  
Put each wire bundle in the correct location.

 (g)  
Install the clamps and screws on each wire bundle.

 (h)  
Install each load sensor (AMM 31-41-05/401).
