General
The Boeing Company issues Flight Crew Training Manual revisions to provide new or revised recommendations on maneuvers and techniques, or information supporting changes in operations manual procedures. Revisions may also incorporate appropriate information from previously issued flight technical bulletins. Revisions reflect the most current information available to The Boeing Company through the subject revision date.
Revisions include a new Revision Record, Revision Highlights, and a current List of Effective Pages. Use the information on the new Revision Record and List of Effective Pages to verify the Flight Crew Training Manual content.
Pages containing revised technical material have revision bars associated with the changed text or illustration. Editorial revisions (for example, spelling corrections) may have revision bars with no associated highlight.
This revised FCTM is provided in quantities as specified in each operator’s contract. Additional copies are available through the Boeing Data and Services Management (DSM) Catalog. The manual is also available in FRAME format for use in airline modification. Advise if information about FRAME format is required.
Filing Instructions
This revision is a complete reprint of the FCTM as indicated on the List of Effective Pages (0.5). Remove all old pages and replace all new pages. Replacement tabs are included with this revision.

Chapter 2 - Ground Operations Preface
2.1 - Modified to reflect new chapter organization.
Takeoff Briefing
2.1 -Added special engine out departure procedures. Special engine out departure procedures exist at some airports that may differ significantly from the standard instrument departure and may include a requirement to restrict takeoff weight.
Push Back
2.2 - Modified paragraph to more closely follow normal pushback sequence events.
Taxi Speed and Braking
2.5 - Deleted recommendation to use rudder pedal steering only above 20 knots. Operator input indicates that use of the nose wheel steering tiller up to 30 knots is normal on long straight taxi routes.
2.5 - Removed recommendation to avoid use of reverse thrust during landing when above 60 knots. This statement was inconsistent with the landing procedure.
Minimum Radius 180 Degree Turns
2.9 - Modified recommended groundspeed during minimum radius 180 degree turns to "5 knots or less". Nose wheel scrubbing can occur at speeds above 5 knots.
Taxi - Adverse Weather
2.9 - Modified information on use of anti-ice. Anti-ice is used in accordance with Normal and Supplementary Procedures rather than immediately after engine start.
