(9) Make a visual inspection of the vent float valves: - one installed outboard of STA8268/RIB15 - one installed inboard of STA8268/RIB15. Make sure that: - the valve will operate correctly - the valve disc will operate correctly - the valve closes correctly - there is no corrosion - there are no cracks - there are no large dents - there is no distortion.
(10) Make sure that all of the bonding straps are correctly installed and attached (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-002).
(11) Make a visual inspection of the NACA vent intake (Ref. TASK 28-12-47-200-001).

R A. Inspection of the Tank Venting System
R R (1) Make a visual inspection of the open end of the center-tank vent-pipe at the aircraft centerline. The pipe must not be blocked.
R R R (2) Make a visual inspection of the open end of the wing-tank vent-inlet-duct located outboard of RIB2. The pipe must not be blocked.
R R R (3) Make a visual inspection of the open end of the wing-tank vent-duct and the center-tank vent-pipe. They are installed outboard of RIB22. They must not be blocked.
R R R R R R R R R R (4) Make a visual inspection of: - the complete wing-tank vent-duct and the wing-tank vent-inlet-duct - the complete center-tank vent-pipe. There must be no: - large dents - cracks - distortion - corrosion. Make sure that the ducts and the pipe are correctly sealed along their length.
R (5) Make a visual inspection of the surge-tank vent-duct outboard of
R RIB23. There must be no:
R - large dents
R - cracks
R - distortion
R - corrosion.
R (6) Make a visual inspection of the rubber check valves:
R - one installed in the center-tank vent-pipe inboard of RIB1
R - one installed in the wing-tank vent-inlet-duct outboard of RIB2
R - one installed at the end of the wing-tank vent-duct inboard of
R RIB2.
R Make sure that the valves:
R - are not blocked
R - will open and close correctly
R - are attached correctly
R - are not damaged
R - are not corroded
R - are closed.
R Make sure that the front edge of the check valve is horizontal.

R (7) Make a visual inspection of the overpressure protectors 46QM(47QM)
R (Ref. TASK 28-12-41-200-003), 96QM (Ref. TASK 28-12-41-200-002) and
R the overpressure protector outlets (Ref. TASK 28-12-46-200-001).
R (8) Make a visual inspection of the vent float valves 212QM(213QM). The
R float vent valves are installed inboard of RIB22.
R Make sure that:
R - the valve will operate correctly
R - the valve disc will operate correctly
R - the valve closes correctly
R - there is no corrosion
R - there are no cracks
R - there are no large dents
R - there is no distortion.
R (9) Make a visual inspection of the clack valves 214QM(215QM) and
R 216QM(217QM). The clack valves are installed inboard of RIB22.
R Make sure that:
R - the valve will operate correctly
R - the valve flap will operate correctly
R - the valve closes correctly
R - there is no corrosion
R - there are no cracks
R - there are no large dents
R - there is no distortion.
R R (10) Make sure that all of the bonding straps are correctly installed and attached (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-002).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2) Remove the HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) and carefully close the surge door: - for the left wing, surge door 540BZ - for the right wing, surge door 640BZ.
(3) Install the NACA vent intake (Ref. TASK 28-12-47-400-001).
(4) Install all of the access panels (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-400-001), (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-400-002).
(5) Install the access panels 147AZ, 148AZ, (Ref. TASK 57-17-11-400-001).
