S 424-009
(1) Install the pneumatic line filter to the bleed air duct:
(a)
Remove the cap from the bleed air duct.
(b)
Install a new gasket to the pneumatic line filter.
(c)
Install the pneumatic line filter in the boss of the bleed air duct.
(d)
Tighten the pneumatic line filter to 90-110 pound-inches (10.1-12.4 N.m).

(2) Install the reducer on the pneumatic line filter:
(a)
Install a new gasket on the reducer.
(b)
Install the reducer.

(3) Connect the pressure line:
(a)
Remove the cap from the pressure line.
(b)
Connect the pressure line to the reducer.

(a)
Disconnect the door support rods.
(b)
Put the door support rods in the clips on the APU cowl door.
(c)
Close the APU cowl door.
(d)
Close the latches for the APU cowl door.

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker: 1) E3-3 Electrical Shelf, APU Control Unit
(b)
Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU master switch on the P5 forward overhead panel.

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains a task to clean the pneumatic line filter for the cooling air shutoff valve.
B. There are two types of pneumatic line filters. One is a filter that you cannot clean and must discard. The other type is a filter that you can clean. This procedure is only for the filter that you can clean.
C. The pneumatic line filter is in the pressure line between the pneumatic actuator and the bleed air duct. You must remove the filter to clean it. You can get access to the filter through the APU cowl door.
