 (1)  Apply the seal to these mating surfaces:
 NOTE: Do not apply the seal on the panels installed with the
____
 nutplates.

 NOTE: Some operators have reported moisture retention by rubatex
____ tape. Boeing recommends that operators remove rubatex tape if moisture is found and use Skyflex tape on the floor beam. If the floor panel is noisy when walked across, adhere Skyflex tape to the lower surface of the floor panel where attachment inserts are spaced in excess of 3.0 inches.
 (a)  
Between the body stations 178 and 277

 (b)  
Between the floor webs

 (c)  
Between the floor straps

 (d)  
Between the floor structure components.

 (2)  Prepare the fastener holes for the floor panel in the wet areas of the structure as follows:
 (a)  
Clean and apply one layer of BMS 10-11, Type I, primer to the bare aluminum surface.

 (b)  
Apply MIL-C-11796 Class 3, Corrosion Preventive Compound to the holes.

 (c)  
Apply corrosion inhibitor Dinitrol AV8, per BMS 3-23, to top surfaces of the floor support structure.

 (d)  
If the clipnuts were removed, install the new clipnuts as follows: 1) Apply Dinitrol AV8, per BMS 3-23, corrosion inhibiting

 compound to the floor support structure at the clipnut locations.

 2)  To improve corrosion resistance, install new primed clipnuts everywhere on the floor structure at the floor panel attachment locations. Replace BACN10YD( )G clipnuts with BACN11K( ) clipnuts.
 NOTE:____ Be careful when you install the clipnuts to prevent scratches on the floor support structure.
 3)  Turn the clipnuts clockwise against the floor support structure.
 (3)  S 374-007-B00Apply the brush alodine and the primer to the holes in the floor beams (AMM 51-21-41/701).
 (4)  S 394-015-B00Apply a layer of grease to the floor beam holes before you install the floor panel fasteners.
 ú ú ú  (5) (6)  S 644-008-B00Apply a layer of grease to the floor panel fasteners.S 434-011-B00In wet areas or if installing new floor panels, install Skyflex tape on the underside of the floor panel. Attach the panel with the fasteners.
 NOTE:____ Do not tighten the screws.
 (7)  S 824-009-B00Do these steps to torque the floor panel screws: (a) Tighten the screws on the panels with the two-piece insert to 20 - 25 pound-inches.
 NOTE:____ Do a check of the torque before the installation of the floor covering.
 (b)  Tighten the screws on the panels with the one-piece insert to 30 - 35 pound-inches.
 NOTE:____ Let the panel dish at the fastener -0.005 to +0.030 inch.
