At the fitting assembly installation, on the forward end of the IFOT fairing, do the steps that follow: 1) Remove the two bolts, washers and nuts from the upper

 inboard and upper outboard positions of the fitting assembly (Nacelle/IFOT fairing interface).
 2)  Remove the four bolts, washers and nuts from the upper inboard and upper outboard positions of the fitting assembly (Nacelle/IFOT fairing interface).
 3)  Remove the two screws from the outer surface of the IFOT fairing.

Remove the bolt, bushings, washers and nut that install each of the A-frame strut to the IFOT fairing.

 (g)  
Remove the bolts, bushings, washers and nuts that install the A-frame to the IFOT fairing.

 (h)  
Move the A-frame and A-frame struts free from the IFOT fairing.

 NOTE: If you cannot get movement easily, loosen the attachment
____ nuts at the wing rear-spar attachment for the A-frame.
 (i)  At the two upper IFOT fairing attachment positions, remove the bolts, bushings, washers and nuts.

Carefully remove the IFOT fairing.

Inspect the bumper plate, bumper support, seal plate and the striker plate for wear (Fig. 201). Wear limit on the striker plate is 0.08 inch (2.03 mm).

Carefully put the IFOT fairing on the wing rear spar and align the mounting holes.

Loosely install the IFOT fairing to the nacelle at the upper-forward attachment positions with bolts bushings, washers and nuts.

Do these steps to install the IFOT fairing (Fig. 201):

 (a)  
Correctly engage the A-frame fitting and A-frame struts into the attachment brackets inside the IFOT fairing.

 NOTE:  If you have to adjust the strut rod length for installation, make sure you lockwire each adjuster as necessary.

 (b)  
Install a bolt, bushings, washers and nut at the two A-frame attachment brackets inside the IFOT fairing.

 (c)  
Install a bolt, bushing, washers and nut at the two A-frame strut attachment-brackets inside the IFOT fairing.

 (d)  
Torque the nuts at the attachment positions as follows: 1) At the A-frame struts inside the IFOT fairing, torque the nuts to 65 - 90 pound-inches (7.34 - 10.17 newton-meters).

 2)  At the A-frame fitting inside the IFOT fairing, (outboard attachment), torque the nut to 80 - 100 pound -inches (9.04
