 NOTE: Make sure the socket aligns correctly with the hexagonal

 (b)  If you use the hand or the foot operated rotator, do these steps: 1) Attach the rotator to the manual crank pad with two cap
 screws that come in the rotator kit. 2) Tighten the screws. 3) Connect the air source to the pneumatic motor of the
 rotator.
 (c)  
Manually turn the N2 rotor until it is in the necessary position.

 (d)  
Remove the rotator or the wrench from the manual crank pad.

Alternatively, do the steps that follow to install the electronic N2 rotator (Fig. 202):

 (a)  
Engange the PWA 86441 drive unit to the hexoganal end of the idler gear of the oil pump.

 (b)  
Attach the rotator to the manual crank pad with the two nuts that come in the rotator kit.

 (c)  
Attach the drive unit to the power unit with the drive unit cable (PWA 76271 control kit).

 (d)  
Use the remaining three cables to connect the controller and the AC power source to the power unit, and the foot switch to the controller.

 (e)  
Set the controller to have the correct program for the engine.

 (f)  
To operate the electronic N2 rotator, refer to the Manufactures Instruction Manual that is included in the control kit.

 (g)  
Remove the elctronic rotator from the manual crank pad.

Alternatively, do the steps that follow to install the hand N2 rotator:

 (a)  
Attach the detail socket and adapter to the ratchet assembly.

 (b)  
Attach the PWA 49058 Hand Rotator to the manual crank pad with the two nuts that come in the rotator kit.

 (a)  Attach one of the following drive adapters to the N2 rotator
 pad:

 Drive Adapter
 PWA 102093
 PWA 102390.

 NOTE: Make sure the socket aligns correctly with the hexagonal

 end of the idler gear of the oil pump.

 (b)  
Attach the drive unit to the drive adapter.

 (c)  
Refer to the manufacture's instructions for assembly of the
 rotator kit.

 (d)  
Connect the electrical power cable to the AC power source.

 Install the cover of the manual crank pad:

 (a)  
Lubricate a new packing with engine oil.

 (b)  
Install the new packing on the cover.

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE PACKING AND THE COVER CORRECTLY.
_______ AN INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE OIL PRESSURE TO GO TO ZERO DURING THE ENGINE OPERATION AND SUBSEQUENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
 (c)  
Install the crank pad cover with two bolts, threads lubricated with the antigalling compound, and washers.

 (d)  
Tighten the bolts to 62-72 pound-inches
 (7.0-8.1 newton-meters).

 (e)  
Do a test of the manual crank pad cover that is shown in the
 Power Plant Test Reference Table (AMM 71-00-00/501).

 (11) Close the thrust reversers (AMM 78-31-00/201).
