ENGINES PRE-PW-SB 79-75; Install main filter oil tube (35) as follows:
(a)
Install the packings (34B), lubricated with engine oil, in the grooves on each end of the main filter oil tube (35).
(b)
Install the main filter oil tube (35) to the oil-in port on the forward left side of the main oil filter housing (1). 1) Attach the tube (35) with the three bolts (34A), threads
lubricated with engine oil. 2) Tighten the bolts (34A) with your hand.
(c)
Install the other end of the main filter oil tube (35) to the top of the lubrication and scavenge oil pump. 1) With the two bolts (48), bolt threads lubricated with
antigalling compound, attach the main filter oil tube (35) and the bracket. 2) Tighten the bolts (48) with your hand.
(d)
Install the bolts (46), threads lubricated with engine oil, and nuts (47) that attach the clamps for the main filter oil tube to the main gearbox bracket at two places. 1) Tighten the nuts (47) to to 36-40 pound-inches
(4.1-4.5 newton-meters).
(e)
Tighten the three bolts (34A) that attach the main filter oil tube (35) to the main oil filter housing (1) to 85-95 pound-inches (9.6-10.7 newton-meters).
(f)
Tighten the bolts (48) that attach the main filter oil tube (35) to the top of the scavenge pump to 62-72 pound-inches (7.0-8.1 newton-meters).
(g)
Install the bolts (46), threads lubricated with engine oil, and nuts (47) that attach the clamps and clampshells of the main filter oil tube to the diffuser case.
(h)
Install the bolts (46), threads lubricated with engine oil, and nuts (47).
NOTE: These bolts (46) and nuts (47) attach the clamps and
____ clampshells of the main filter oil tube to the clamps and clampshells of the oil scavenge tube (for the No. 4 bearing).
1) ENGINES PRE-PW-SB 79-46; there are no clampshells on the (No. 4 bearing) oil scavenge tube clamps that are attached to the clamps (and if applicable, clampshells) on the main filter oil tube (35).
2) Tighten the nuts (47) to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).

(b)
Install the fluid pressure dampener (88) to the top of the lubrication and scavenge oil pump.
(c)
With bolts (tbd) and nuts (tbd), threads lubricated with antigalling compound, attach the fluid pressure dampener (88) to the top of the main oil pump.
(d)
With bolts (84) and nuts (85), threads lubricated with antigalling compound, attach the fluid pressure dampener (88) to the engine bracket (87).
