R B. Installation of the Wing Tank Harness 57QT (58QT), 63QT (64QT)
R (1) Get access to the opening 540BB(640BB).
R (2) Identify and attach each piece of string to its applicable wing tank
R harness cable.
R (3) Attach the related connectors together at all the ends of the wing
R tank harness with adhesive tape.
R NOTE : This will help you move the wing tank harness through its____
R conduit.
R (4) Use the string to carefully pull the wing tank harness through its
R conduit. When you install the wing tank harness make sure that it
R does not catch.
R (5) Remove and discard the adhesive tape and the string from every end of
R the wing tank harness.
R (6) Apply BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-013) to the
R threads of the electrical backshell (8).
R (7) Install the new O-ring (4) on the electrical backshell (8).
R (8) Install the electrical backshell (8) in the rear spar.
R (9) Get access through the opening 574BB(674BB).
R (10) Install the washer (5) and the nut (6).
R (11) TORQUE the nut (6) to between 1.16 and 1.27 m.daN (102.65 and 112.38
R lbf.in).
R (12) Use a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) to remove unwanted adhesive
R from the electrical backshell (8) and the nut (6).
R (13) Safety the nut (6) to an adjacent tag with MISCELLANEOUS (Material
R No. 19-010).
R (14) Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-001) around the electrical backshell
