 -in the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel, - on the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.

 Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration. (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

 Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

R R  A. Reactivation of the Case Drain Filter (3084GM) 
R  (1) Remove and discard the lockwire between the filter bowl (3) and the filter head (1). 
R  (2) Remove the filter bowl (3). 
R  (3) Make sure that the O-ring (4) is correctly installed on the new filter element (2). 
R  (4) Apply HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-003) to the O-ring (4) and to the threads of the filter bowl (3). 
R  (5) Do a check of the filter element (2) and make sure that it is clean and not damaged. 
R  (6) Install the filter bowl (3) together with the filter element (2) in the filter head (1). 
R  (7) Tighten the filter bowl (3) with your hands. 
R  (8) Safety the filter bowl (3) to the filter head (1) with lockwire, corrosion-resistant steel, dia. 0.8 mm (0.032 in.). 
R  (9) If the red clogging indicator is out, push it in to set it again.

 B. Preparation for the Test
 (1) Make sure that the content of the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. TASK 12-12-29-611-002).

 Pressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-002).

 Remove the warning notice(s).

 Test

 (1)
 Dry-motor the right (No. 2) engine (Ref. TASK 71-00-00-710-001).

 (2)
 Make sure that there are no hydraulic leaks from the filter assembly, and that the clogging indicator stays in.

 (3)
 If the clogging indicator comes out, push it in to set it again. If it will not stay in, do the trouble-shooting of the filter assembly to find the cause.

 (4)
 Stop the operation of the right (No. 2) engine (Ref. TASK 71-00-00-710-001).
