 (b) If you find particles:

 (c) If you find no particles:
 1_ Do the operational test of the related hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-11-00-710-001) or (Ref. TASK 29-13-00-710-002). 
R R  2_  During the test, slowly move only one flight control surfaceat a time.
 3_ Make sure that the system pressure is more than 2800 psi (193.0531 bar) during the test.

 

 (d) If the system pressure is less than 2800 psi (193.0531 bar) during the test:
 1 Do the steps (1) (a) thru (f) of this procedure.
_ MAIN HYDRAULIC POWER - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

 1. General_______ The main hydraulic power systems are those which supply the high power consumers of the aircraft with hydraulic power. The aircraft has three main hydraulic systems, they are:
 -
the Green main system (Ref. 29-11-00),


 -
the Blue main system (Ref. 29-12-00),


 -
the Yellow main system (Ref. 29-13-00).
 The three main systems are hydraulically isolated from each other. It is not
 possible for hydraulic fluid to go from one main system to any other main
 system.
 Reservoir volume included, the volume of fluid in each system is
 approximately:

 

 -100l for the Green system,

 -60l for the Blue system,

 -75l for the Yellow system.

 Engine-driven pumps (EDP) supply the Green and Yellow main systems with hydraulic power. The EDP of the Green system is connected to the left (No. 1) engine. The EDP of the Yellow system is connected to the right (No. 2) engine. An electric pump supplies the Blue main system.
 The three main systems automatically supply hydraulic power when the engines operate. The two EDP are connected directly to their related engine (through the accessory gearbox), and the Blue electric pump operates when any one of the two engines starts. All of the main systems operate at a nominal pressure of 3000 psi (206 bar).
 It is also possible to pressurize each main system with one or more of the
 auxiliary systems if the main pumps can not be used.
 The Yellow electric pump (Ref. 29-24-00) or the power transfer unit (PTU)
 (Ref. 29-33-00) can pressurize the Yellow main system. The PTU (Ref.
 29-23-00) can pressurize the Green main system. The ram air turbine
 (Ref.29-22-00) can pressurize the Blue main system.
 For maintenance all of the systems can be pressurized from a ground hydraulic supply. Connectors are installed on the ground service panels of the three systems. On the ground it is also possible to pressurize the main systems as follows:
 -Yellow main system, with the Yellow electric pump,
 -Green main system, with the Yellow electric pump (through the PTU),
 -Blue main system, with the Blue electric pump.
 Operation of the systems is usually fully automatic. If there is a fault or for maintenance, it is possible to control parts of the systems from the flight compartment.


 The condition of the main systems is monitored at different places in the systems. The data is used in the electronic centralized aircraft monitor (ECAM) system and also for the indication of faults.
