 A. Preparation of a Replacement Component
 WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
 (1)
 Remove all the unwanted sealant from the half-clamps (14) and (15) with a plastic spatula.

 (2)
 Clean the half-clamps (14) and (15) with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026).

 (3)
 Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

 Apply a thin layer of BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-004) to the mating surfaces of the half-clamps (14) and (15).

 (5)
 Install the half-clamp (14) on the telescopic duct. Make sure that the projection on the half-clamp (14) engages in the location slot on the telescopic duct.

 (6)
 Install the half-clamp (15), the new tabwashers (16) and the bolts (17).

 (7) Safety the bolts (17) with the tabwashers (16). Subtask 30-11-41-420-055
 B. Preparation for Installation
 (1)
 Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026).

 (2)
 Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

 (3)
 Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

 C. Installation of the Telescopic Duct
 (1)
 Install the telescopic duct through the D-nose leading edge.

 (2)
 Put the links (20) in position and install the washers (19), the bolts (18), the washers (23) and the slotted nuts (22). TORQUE the slotted nuts (22) to between 0.6 and 0.9 m.daN (53.09 and 79.64 lbf.in).

 (3)
 Safety the slotted nuts (22) with the new cotter pins (21).

 (4)
 Remove the blanking caps from the slat duct and the telescopic duct.

 (5)
 If necessary, retract the telescopic duct and hold it in this position with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).

 (6)
 Install the telescopic duct on the D-nose duct. Make sure that the pin (2) on the D-nose duct engages with the hole in the flange of the telescopic duct.

 Install the clamp (1) in the position shown.

 (8)
 TORQUE the clamp (1) to between 0.39 and 0.51 m.daN (34.51 and 45.13 lbf.in).

 (9)
 If necessary, remove the lockwire that holds the telescopic duct in the retracted position.

 (10)
 Manually extend and retract the telescopic duct to make sure that the assembly operates correctly.

 (11)
 Remove the blanking caps from the telescopic duct and the slat duct.

 (12)
 Install the telescopic duct on the slat duct.

 (13)
 Install and TORQUE the clamp (3) to between 0.39 and 0.51 m.daN

 (34.51 and 45.13 lbf.in). Subtask 30-11-41-865-052
 D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 5CV, 7CV, 1DL, 2DL.

 E. Test
 (1)
 Retract (Ref. TASK 27-80-00-866-004) and extend (Ref. TASK 27-80-00-866-005) the slats.
