A. Examine the seals (25) to make sure that they are serviceable. R **ON A/C 001-049, 051-060, 062-099, 101-149, 151-199, 201-299, 301-399,

B. Installation of the Middle Anti-Ice Duct:
(1)
Remove the blanking plugs from the anti-ice ducts.
(2)
Put the middle anti-ice duct (35) in position. Install the four bolts (40), washers (45), and nuts (50) that attach the middle anti-ice duct (35) to the fireshield. Do not torque the nuts at this time.
(3)
Connect the middle anti-ice duct: CAUTION : MAKE SURE THE SMOOTH CIRCULAR SURFACE OF THE COUPLING IS
_______ RADIALLY OUTBOARD FROM THE ENGINE. DO NOT LET THE COUPLING TOUCH ENGINE COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE. DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE COULD OCCUR.
(a) Connect the middle anti-ice duct (35) to the top anti-ice duct (15). Use the coupling (20) and a seal (25). Tighten the coupling sufficiently to hold the anti-ice duct in position.
(4) Connect the middle anti-ice duct: CAUTION : MAKE SURE THE SMOOTH CIRCULAR SURFACE OF THE COUPLING IS
_______ RADIALLY OUTBOARD FROM THE ENGINE. DO NOT LET THE COUPLING TOUCH ENGINE COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE. DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE COULD OCCUR.
(a) Connect the middle anti-ice duct (35) to the forward anti-ice duct (30), use the coupling (20) and a serviceable seal (25). Tighten the coupling sufficiently to hold the anti-ice duct in position.
(5) Make sure that the middle anti-ice duct (35) is in the correct position.
(6) TORQUE the four bolts (40) to between 50 and 70 lbf.in (0.56 and 0.79
m.daN).
(7) TORQUE the nut on the coupling (20) as follows:
(a) TORQUE the coupling nut to between 70 and 85 lbf.in (0.79 and
0.96 m.daN).
(b) Lightly hit the perimeter of the coupling in several places. Use
a fiber hammer, not a metal hammer.
(c) Do steps (a) and (b) above two more times. Then do step (1)
again.

R B. Installation of the Middle Anti-Ice Duct:
R (1) Remove the blanking plugs from the anti-ice ducts.
R (2) Put the middle anti-ice duct (35) in position. Install the three
R bolts (40), washers (45), and nuts (50) that attach the middle
R anti-ice duct (35) to the fireshield. Do not torque the nuts at this
R time.
R (3) Install the bolt (75), the washer (70), the bracket (65), the bush
R (60) and the nut (55) that attach the middle anti-ice duct (35) to
R the fireshield. Do not torque the nut at this time.
R (4) Connect the middle anti-ice duct:
R CAUTION : MAKE SURE THE SMOOTH CIRCULAR SURFACE OF THE COUPLING IS_______
R RADIALLY OUTBOARD FROM THE ENGINE. DO NOT LET THE COUPLING
R TOUCH ENGINE COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE. DAMAGE TO THE
R COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE COULD OCCUR.
R (a) Connect the middle anti-ice duct (35) to the top anti-ice duct
R (15). Use the coupling (20) and a seal (25). Tighten the coupling

R (5) Connect the middle anti-ice duct:
