Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.

Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

Make sure that the access platform is positioned below the APU compartment.
(6)
Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).

A. Installation of the FCU
(1)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Remove the blanking plugs.
(4)
Lubricate the new O-ring (7) with OILS (Material No. 03-002)
(5)
Install the O-ring (7) on the FCU (6).
(6)
Locate the FCU on the locating pin (13) of the oil module flange and install the clamp (8).
(7)
TORQUE the clamp (8) to 0.68 m.daN (60.17 lbf.in)
(8)
Lubricate the new O-rings (9) and O-ring (14) with OILS (Material No. 03-002).
(9)
Install the O-rings (9) and (14) on the pipes (10) and (15).
(10)
Install the pipes (10) and (15) into the FCU (6).
(11)
Turn plate (11) to hold the pipes in position and install the captive bolts (12).
(12)
TORQUE the bolts (12) to 0.57 m.daN (50.44 lbf.in)
(13)
Lubricate the new O-rings (4) with OILS (Material No. 03-002)

Install the O-rings (4) on the union (2) and put the union into the FCU (6).
(15)
Turn the plate (2) to hold the union (2) in the FCU (6) and tighten the nut (1).
(16)
TORQUE the nut (1) to 0.46 m.daN (40.70 lbf.in).
(17)
Safety the union (3) to the FCU with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).
(18)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(19)
Connect the electrical connector (5) to the FCU solenoid.
(20)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1KD, 2KD.

C. Purge the APU fuel-feed line (Ref. TASK 28-22-00-710-001). Subtask 49-32-11-710-056
D. Do the operational test of the APU (Ref. TASK 49-00-00-710-010).
(1) Operate the APU for min. five minutes and examine the joints of the fuel control unit for leaks.
NOTE : Leaks are not permitted.
