R A. Test Operational Check of GAPCU via CFDS Removal of the Ground Auxiliary Power Control Unit (GAPCU) (24XG) Installation of the Ground Auxiliary Power Control Unit (GAPCU) (24XG)
R (1) Do the trouble shooting for all CFDS messages related to the Chapter R 32 or to the LGCIU that can come into view with the CFDS message R LGCIU (5GA1)/GAPCU (24XG).
R NOTE : You can ignore this CFDS message if it comes into view when
____ R the aircraft is on jacks for maintenance or when you remove R the power from the LGCIU 1 when the aircraft is on the ground.
R (a) If there are no Chapter 32 or LGCIU-related CFDS messages, or if
R the fault continues after the trouble shooting:
R - do the BITE test of the GAPCU (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-740-002).

R 1_ If the BITE test gives the message TEST FAILED:
R - do the trouble shooting given in Para 4.A.

R 2_ If the BITE test gives the message TEST PASSED:
R - do the trouble shooting given in Para 4.B.

 

R  4. Fault Isolation_______________ 
R  A. If the BITE test gives the message TEST FAILED: 
R  - push the line key adjacent to the TEST FAILED message. 
R  (1) If the maintenance message GAPCU (24XG) comes into view: 
R  - replace the GAPCU (24XG) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-34-000-001) and (Ref. 
R  AMM TASK 24-41-34-400-001). 
R  B. If the BITE test gives the message TEST PASSED: 
R  - do a check of the wiring of the ground/flight signal (Ref. ASM 24-
R  41/01) between pin B/9E of the LGCIU (5GA1) and pin A/2C of the GAPCU 
R  (24XG). 
R  (1) If there is no continuity: 
R  - repair or replace as necessary. 
R  (2) If there is continuity: 
R  - replace the GAPCU (24XG) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-34-000-001) and (Ref. 
R  AMM TASK 24-41-34-400-001). 
R  C. Do the test given in para. 3.

R A. If the BITE test gives the message TEST FAILED:
R - push the line key adjacent to the TEST FAILED message.

R (1) If the maintenance message GAPCU (24XG) comes into view:
R - replace the GAPCU (24XG) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-34-000-001) and (Ref.
R AMM TASK 24-41-34-400-001).

R B. If the BITE test gives the message TEST PASSED:
R - do a check of the EPC (3XG) coil for correct electrical continuity
R between pin B/3 and pin B/5 (Ref. ASM 24-41/01).

R (1) If the coil electrical continuity is not correct:
R - replace the EPC (3XG) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-55-000-001) and (Ref.
R AMM TASK 24-41-55-400-001).

R (2) If the coil electrical continuity is correct:
