Operational Check of GAPCU via CFDS

R (1) Do the BITE test of the GAPCU (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-740-002).

R (a) If the BITE test gives the message TEST FAILED:
R - do the trouble shooting given in Para 4.A.
R (b) If the BITE test gives the message TEST PASSED:

R - do the trouble shooting given in Para 4.B. R 4. Fault Isolation

R A. If the BITE test gives the message TEST FAILED:
R - push the line key adjacent to the TEST FAILED message.

R (1) If the maintenance message GCU1 (1XU1) comes into view:
R - replace the GCU-1 (1XU1) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-22-34-000-001) and (Ref.
R AMM TASK 24-22-34-400-001).

R  B. If the BITE test gives the message TEST PASSED: 
R  - do a check of the wiring (Ref. ASM 24-22/02) for an open circuit 
R  between: 
R  . pin 2 of the ELEC/GCU1 circuit breaker (2XU1) and pin A/B of the 
R  function relay (20XU) 
R  . pin A/3 of the function relay and pin B/18 of the GLC 1 (9XU1) 
R  . pin B/20 of the GLC 1 and pin A/29 of the diode module module 2420VD 
R  . pin A/14 of the diode module 2420VD and pin A/6A of the GCU 1. 
R  - do a check of the contacts for correct operation of the function relay 
R  (20XU) and the GLC 1 (9XU1) (Ref. ASM 24-22/02) between: 
R  . pins A/B and A/3 of the function relay (normally closed) 
R  . pins B/18 and B/20 of the GLC 1 (normally closed). 
R  (1) If the wiring or the contacts are not correct: 
R  - repair or replace the wiring as necessary 
R  - replace the RELAY (20XU) as necessary 
R  - replace the GLC-1 (9XU1) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-22-55-000-001) and (Ref. 
R  AMM TASK 24-22-55-400-002) as necessary. 
R  (2) If the wiring or the contacts are correct: 
R  - replace the GCU-1 (1XU1) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-22-34-000-001) and (Ref. 
R  AMM TASK 24-22-34-400-001). 
R  C. Do the test given in para. 3.
