(1) Assemble the lever assembly.
NOTE: This step is necessary if you disassembled the lever assembly

in the removal task.
(a)
Install the bearing, bolt, washer, and the nut.
(b)
Install the cotter pin.

(2) Attach the lever assembly to the door actuator.
NOTE: The head of the bolt must be on the forward side.

(3) Assemble the ground release cam (Ref 20-11-01/401).
NOTE: This step is necessary if you disassembled the ground release

cam in the removal task.
(a)
Install the bearings.
(b)
Make sure the spacer is between the bearings.

Install the ground release cam.
(a)
Put the ground release cam on the bolt which holds the large end of the actuator.

(b) Make sure the clearance on each side of the cam is the same
between the lugs for the lever assembly fork.
NOTE:____ The difference in the clearances must not be more than
0.02 inches. You must add washers and adjust the shim
to get the correct dimensions.
(c) Install the nut.
1) Tighten the nut 50 to 80 pound-inches.
2) Install the cotter pin.
(d) Connect the differential output rod to the ground release cam.

Make sure the ground release handle for the doors of the main landing gear is in the DOORS CLOSED position.

Put the door actuator for the wing landing gear in its closed and locked position.
NOTE: This is the extension of the actuator when the doors for the

Make sure the dimension between the bearing and the ground release cam is 0.18 to 0.20 inches (Detail B, Fig. 401).

(10) Do this task: "Body Landing Gear Door Lock Removal" (AMM 32-00-30/201).
