Prepare for the Installation

 S 864-010
 (1)  
Supply electrical power (Ref/24-22-00/201).

 S 714-011

 (2)  
Do a check to see the which way the actuator turns.

 (a)  
Remove the cap.

 (b)  
Connect the electrical connector. 1) For the left electric actuator, connect the electrical connector DM86.

 2)  For the right electric actuator, connect the electrical connector DM89.

 (c)  
Close the circuit breaker.

 1)  For the electric actuator on the left landing gear, close the circuit breaker 6C29 ALT LG EXT WING L on the P6 Main Power Distribution Panel.
 2)  For the electric actuator on the right landing gear, close the circuit breaker 6C30 ALT LG EXT WING R on the P6 Main Power Distribution Panel.
 (d)  Push the alternate extend switch for the wing landing gear on the pilots P2-3 panel to provide power to the actuator.

 (e)  Make sure the actuator turns as follows:
 1)  For left actuator, make sure the actuator turns counterclockwise when it is viewed from the output shaft end.
 2)  For the right actuator, make sure actuator turns clockwise when it is viewed from the output shaft end.
 (f)  Allow the actuator to complete its cycle and shut off.

 (3)  
Open the 6C29 ALT LG EXT WING L circuit breaker on the P6 Main Power Distribution Panel.

 (a)  
Disconnect the electrical connector plug. 1) For the left electrical actuator disconnect the electrical connector DM86.

 2)  For the right electrical actuator disconnect the electrical connector DM89.
 E.  Install the Electrical Actuator for the Alternate Extension System for the wing landing gear (Fig. 401)

 (1)  
Install the electrical actuator.

 (a)  
Make sure the space on the output shaft is aligned with the index mark (View A-A, Fig. 401).

 (b)  
Put the actuator in its usual position.

 (c)  
Insert the actuator output shaft into the uplock mechanism.

 (d)  
Install the four attachment bolts for the actuator.

 (e)  
Connect the electrical connector.
 1) For the left electrical actuator,
 connect the electrical connector DM86.

 2)  For the right electrical actuator, connect the electrical connector DM89.

 WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO INSTALL
_______ THE DOOR OPERATOR RODS. A FAST MOVEMENT OF THE DOORS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (2)  Do this task: "Wing Landing Gear Door Operator Rods Connection" (Ref 32-00-30/201).
 NOTE: Leave the door operator rods for the body landing gear
____ disconnected until the operational test for the alternate extension system for the wing landing gear is complete.

 (3)  Do an operational test for the alternate extension system for the wing landing gear (Ref 32-36-00/501).

 WING GEAR ALTERNATE EXTENSION SYSTEM UPLOCK RELEASE MECHANISM -

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure has two tasks:
 (1)
Removal of the uplock release mechanism for the wing gear.

 (2)
Installation of the uplock release mechanism for the wing gear.

 B.  
The alternate extension system for the wing gear includes an electrical actuator and a door unlock switch. These components are removed and installed with the uplock release mechanism. The basic procedure is the same for the left and right side with the differences shown in the text.
